The Making of Dreamland Page 23…
Hi everyone…
Well…this is the last page of the Making ofs from Book 2.
If you enjoyed these…remember..they look really great in print. Lots more detail.
I’m just about done with writing chapter 14. It’s REALLY long. But Donna says it’s really good. So I hope you’ll like it as well.
I hope to start work on actual pages within the next week or two. I’ll of course keep you up to date.
Β
I have to make new backdrops for my convention booths this year.
So I may start posting images from that to fill in until we get back to pages.
Β
By the way….
I’ve still not heard from anyone regarding Anime conventions. I’ve had some suggestions (thank you)…but if any one has any pull at some of the larger cons….please let me know.
I know nothing about them. But had such a good time at MTAC…I’d like to look into some more.
Β
Oh…and lastly.
I’m going to be making new backdrops. The kind where the images are printed on the material that rolls up into its own case. Have you seen them?
THey’re really cool. Does anyone recommend a particular company?
I want good print quality. I’ve seen good ones and bad ones. And of course don’t want to make the wrong decision.
Β
OK. That’s it. I’ll drop by in the morning and join in the comments.
Oh…and don’t forget to follow me on Twitter.
I read that Ashton Kutcher got 1,000,000 followers last week.
I’m only 999,300 followers away. So it’s a pretty tight race…and I want to catch him by Tuesday if possible.

Why yes. My family makes them. My email address was left with the comments, if you want further details let me know. I’m sure we could help you, my family has a complete print shop which specializes in just that kind of thing.
Hey Scott, are you going to up for Heroes Con this year?
And what’s this Twitter I keep hearing about … if being a kind, descent, fun and talented person has anything to do with it, you’d beat Kutcher WAY sooner than Tuesday … lol
how is 9,000,000 close? now is you were say 900 away I would say yes this is close. any who. glad to hear you are close to finishing the chapter and cant wait to read it.
I sent you an email regarding an anime convention – a huge one.
*snickers* good luck on twitter =P I’d follow you if I could.

On another note.. I absolutely love the “making of” pages of buildings and busses and whatnot that you’ve been showing. They’re so detailed and gorgeous. I never could understand all that goes into weaving a story like you do, but art is my thing π I understand art and appreciate what you’re doing here π
Yay! I follow you on Twitter (LadyChrisA is my other screen name) so that’s… errr…. how many does that leave now?? I’m so bad at math, lol!
*sigh* I wish I had some pull at Otakon, but I would still recommend it. They take over the entire Baltimore Convention Center for three days. According to their website they’re accepting app’s for their Artist Alley, and the Dealer’s room too I think.
Anime conventions… Haven’t been to enough of them. Glad to hear things are still going well, and look forward to seeing Chapter 14. π
Thanks all!
I’ll email you directly Shelley and Whisperwolf.
Oh…and everyone else. Thanks for helping me show up that mean old Ashton Kutcher!
‘sigh’ π₯ sadly we must say goodbye to the ‘making of’ pages, but gladly look forward to Chapter 14. π Bring it on!
You’re closer to catching Ashton than I am, Scott! I only need 999,997 to go! π
I started following you last Saturday. A friend of mine talked me into Twitter, and I LOVE it. I’m technotreegrass.
it’s not terribly big, but Polaris in Toronto is a nice not-for-profit Sci-Fi, Lit, Film, and Anime convention
I am still in touch with bunches who organize Sakura Con – I’ll see what I can do for you Scott π
Thanks guys!
Wooah there. Please only start working harder if you are really doing better healthwise. If you cannot sit down to put in a good amount of work without pain, i think you should take a few more days off. And don’t think i am a nice guy for worrying about your health. I am just being greedy ^^If you got hurt again, i would be without my favorite comic in the middle of a storyline, and i don’t think i could handle that! lol seriously though, take it easy!
hey! i’ve been gone awhile, haven’t i? lol. xD but glad to see everythings movin along! and how come u haven’t tried out the new york anime conventions doohickey? or some down in florida or something? idk! i’m not u. But there is an anime convention doohickey out here in omaha, nebraska… but i’ll have to check that out a bit… see what i can do.. *laughs evily*
Very good story and excellent graphics. Just a little hint from a former railroader: Coaches of this size has four axles only.
Dreamland wall scrolls? Awesome! I can’t wait ^^
That’s it… I just need to make 999,300 bogus accounts to help Scott with his numbers…. now, where did I put my ball-point pen? (Also, why are all the “cool” conventions on the wrong coast for me?? Grrr…. Okay… we do have ComiCon, but that’s a 9 hour drive)
Hey, i happened to notice you were asking about anime conventions. Were you looking for some good ones to go to? I highly recommend Anime Iowa if you are available and not opposed to travelling to the midwest. It happens every Mid August (not sure what date your kids start school ^^; ). but if you can make it, its a very good one. Here is their site. http://www.animeiowa.com
