This week…
Nicole will try to figure out what the heck just happened. Stay tuned…
🙂
Thank you all who have ordered stuff from the store.
I’ve done everything I can to accomodate your needs. I hope there’s enough selections to make everyone happy.
We’ve sold 1/3 of the Paddington plushes already. WOW! So if you’re on the fence…in only 2 days…we’re already 1/3 sold out of them.
This doesn’t mean we can’t get more…just maybe not by Christmas.
Also…please remember that we do NOT have the Felicity and Alexander figures in yet. We’re still waiting for them so any orders with them in it will be delayed.
And lastly…please PLEASE PLEASE don’t forget to add your characters you want sketched and if you want the book personalized (and to whom) when you check out. There’s a box. Fill it.
Here’s a recap from Fridyay…
Felicity and Alexander are on their way here.

Make sure you check out the savings. It’s a lot.
I want you all to have these before they all go to the distributor.
Hope you enjoy this week. It’s so much fun!
Oh…and don’t forget to check out the post below regarding Philcon. I’ll be there on Friday!
Don’t forget to come and say hi!
Scott
how did I know? Here comes more denials, then hopefully some belief, or at least open mindedness
Dang it Nicole! She needs to just accept it, and find a way to go back to Dreamland to see Felicity, because Felicity really misses her.
I’m in total agreement with the both of you! 😉
When the heck is Alex going to think to *give the bloody sword to someone esle?!* His brother surely deserves it, and maybe it’d even open Nicole’s eyes.
This sounds like any cartoon robot just before it’s head explodes
So… If we forgot to fill in the character we want sketched, but already placed the order, is there a way to go back and add that little detail? ^^;
Boy… Alex and Dan have the same expression… it’s either pity or the “I don’t believe you” look. I can tell that Nicole is waaaay out of her comfort zone. I’m guessing that she surpressed the memories due to something awful that happened to her… which may have led her into psychology as a major… and more specifically dream study.
Amazing stuff…just started tonight and could stop, I plan on buying the books if at all possible, of course money is required for that…sadly, maybe next month.
you should check out November 12 here: http://lunchbagart.tumblr.com/
@Chris: Since Alex was the one who pulled the sword out of the temple, it probably only works for him, but I agree, you never know unless you try.
About the store… it’s such a pity that international posting fees are so expensive 🙁 ($50 to send out a grand total of…$40 worth items!)
Is there any alternative?
I like how she is backed into the corner in this one. Great job as always!
Anidragon…
Just email me. I’ll do my best to find your order and write down your requests.
Angie…
Unfortunately those are actual costs. I’m sorry. We used to have a flat rate of $20 but were losing so much money…my wife went to the post office and got specific prices for the various countries.
The good news is…we DO ship everywhere and don’t charge tax.
I hope that helps.
Cross….thank you and welcome…
Manticore…
Yes. Love it! Posted about this on Thursday I think.
Talk about ‘trapped in a corner’
Ooo! I forgot to fill in what character I wanted too!!
And boy is Nicole’s brain working over time trying to find a logical explination!
There is one problem with letting Nicole try sleeping with the sword: If it works, she’ll be in mortal danger.
On the other hand, if they can prove that Alex doesn’t flatline in his sleep when he’s not wearing the sword, that’ll be some interesting evidence.
Sure giving the sword to some one else would work, but I don’t think it’s time for that. The person that goes into dreamland wouldn’t know were to go or what to do. Not unless Alex is good at explaining stuff.
Would giving the sword to someone else REALLY work, people?
Really? The sword of kings? Just ANYONE can use it?
Hmm….
Ohh,look, De Nile is more than a river in Egypt.
Seriously, though, there are two explanations. The first, and — absent one very important fact — the most obvious is “Felicity”, for a FELINE creature, is a tremendously obvious name. Both people coming up with a (crudely drawn) tiger-striped female named Felicity is an interesting coincidence. But it could easily happen.
Now, if there had been a picture of a massive dragon of a particular design named “Nicodemus”, THAT would be a lot harder to shrug off.
The crucial point, however, is Alex’ BRAIN ACTIVITY. All the handwavy about coincidences, etc., fails to explain this. People going to the REAL Dreamland are clearly doing something very different than people dreaming normally. This is SCIENTIFIC evidence that Something Really Strange is going on. Alex’ testimony about his little relative ending up in exactly the same universe — and the two interacting and telling the same story — would have been good evidence if it was done under controlled conditions; as it is, it is an interesting anecdote. But given THAT, *PLUS* the completely bizarre brain activity (or lack thereof) during Alex’ sleep, Nicole as a scientist will, I think, have to come to the conclusion that whatever is going on is something vastly stranger than any coincidence or prank.
And no, I don’t think you can just hand around the Sword of Kings like a pair of binoculars to get you access to Dreamland. Yes, Alex could hand it to you, but it almost certainly won’t work… unless you, too, are in some way worthy of that position. I dunno if Nicole would be. (if it’s literally “Sword of KINGS” she’s physically disqualified, of course).
The existence of the Sword-chain necklace is very interesting, though, as it is the only real piece of evidence we have that there is some actual PHYSICAL phenomenon involved with Dreamland. I wonder if it’s possible for anything else from Dreamland (or the Nightmare Realm) to cross from there to here, rather than the other way around…
I’m on to you… cleverly trying to use your skills to lead us off track and keep us guessing when we ‘may be’ getting close to the truth again.
Then again, it may only work for family… Dan and Alex, and not for Nicole.
Limax wrote: “Boy… Alex and Dan have the same expression…” They are Twins…..
Scott Wrote : “Just ANYONE can use it?” They are Twins!!!!
we all knew the denial would be coming … and there it goes …
Trying to get a handle on the situation, Nicole? So now she realizes that any rational explanation she comes up with, is just as unbelievable as the idea of a Dreamland.
Hmmm… I know that Daniel and Alex are twins but I can’t remember which one is the older, (by a few minutes). That would seem to be a very important detail.
So the plot point that I find most interesting is…
They’ve yet to wonder exactly why Daniel has never been to Dreamland, and never once been able to dream. How funny for that to happen to the twin brother of the one who pulled out the sword.
Curiouser and curiouser.
Heh. Saw this one coming. Didn’t think she’d freak out quite this badly, though.
Perhaps Daniel’s not dreaming is a kind of balancing effect for Alex being the one who could take the Sword of Kings. I know there’s nothing really to back that up…
Otherwise, yeah Nicole’s having a bit of a ‘crisis of faith’ @Limax: I’m thinking you’re right. I wonder what had happened…
in secret, Daniel CAN go to dreamland. however, whenever he’s there he changes into Nicodemus. he now is just playing with Alex.
flawless theory ^^
About Daniel being linked with Nickodemus: Nickodemus is ruling Dreamland for 600 years, and he was already ancient when he usurped power. During his rule there was at least one would-be king in each generation of human Children. Alex and his cousin were able to enter and leave Dreamland almoust simultaniously, and spent equal amounts of time there. Even considering time flows differently in Dreamland there is just no way, Daniel could be linked to Nickodemus. Oh, and Nickodemus hates people, so he would resent any implication that he is a manifestation of some human and not a native Dreamlander.
I’m not sure what’s be more fun these last couple of weeks ….
reading the pages as the post
OR
reading everyone’s speculation about what’s next!
Man you have GOTS to love the internets and guys like Scott for making the most of it.
TedRx
haha, she’s “cornered.” nice imagery.
yeah, the boys do have the same expression, and it’s kind of a creepy expression. but still. i feel bad for nicole, only because her hrdcre belief in science is about to get an un-reality check. just because she can’t explain it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. so, /comfort Nicole… and i’m anxiously awaiting more strips! move faster, story! *poke poke* ^__^
Ha! this made me happy 😀 I just came home from doing some really really scary first- ever midterms, with more to come tomorrow, so I’m glad that we aren’t being strung out anymore 😛
Wait I’m a little confused here… Why the heck would Alex draw a picture of a cat girl named felicity when he was little? He wouldn’t even have known her.
daniel’s the older one right?
and i was just wondering…how come alex doesn’t have any friends in this world? lol he spends all his time w/ his nerdy twin brother
LoL Maklak, do i need to put my text between [sarcasm][/sarcasm] tags before you understand i’m joking? :p
@Jellydonut, I think the lack of onscreen friends is because it’ll pause the plot. When he’s in the real world, it’s all about him and Daniel or Nicole because they’re invovled with Dreamland, and I can’t see Alex confiding about this in anyone else.
Here’s hoping Nicole is 100% cool with the fact Dreamland exists by Friday. We can dream, can’t we?!
just get to the stupid realisation of truth or send her to dreamland… realy sheesh…
@DarkChaos They never said when Alex drew his picture. He could have drawn it recently, which would explain why he was so insulted when she couldn’t tell what it was. They said Nicole drew hers at age 11, but Alex’s age was never specified for when he drew Felicity.
danile is not just a river in Egypt
ok, really nobody asked nicole if she dreamed before this?
SannaSK: “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” (from Shakespeare’s Hamlet) The odd thing is that most scientists, at least those I know, agree fully with this quote. They know the limits of science. So often, it’s the non-scientists that tend to deny anything outside of the explanations of science.
Ok… question… how do I get my hands on some of those CUTE plushies that look like the characters?
…Really woman?
Apparently.
