Update on the Dreamland Chronicles hitting bookstores…
We’ve not heard the exact day yet (any day now). But if you’re at a Barnes and Noble, Borders, or ANY bookstore for that matter. Please order it.
Tell your friends and family.
The retail chains are “TRYING IT OUT” in the teen section and we need to show them that Dreamland is worth keeping in stores.
I’ll update you more as I find out the exact date. But again…if you’re in a bookstore any time soon. Ask for it. THE DREAMLAND CHRONICLES BOOK ONE (or you can order both book one and two) by IDW.
There were literally hundreds of readers here who said they’d like to buy the books from bookstores. So…now’s your chance.

Now that’s one vengeful Dwarf…
Today’s panel layout was great.
I think the best panel formats for a webcomic are ones with horizontal (or semi-horizontal, like today) breaks. I read Dreamland on a 1024*768 resolution, and a lot of the screen is taken up by the menu bars of my browser, so to get the full effect of a full vertical panel, I have to fullscreen the browser, and even then the comic doesn’t always fit, so having horizontal breaks which lend themselves well to “scroll downs” are great for webcomics.
P.S. Alex’s insta-shield FTW.
Oh, omg. I hope our little B. Dalton store gets the book. It’s so small though. Curse living in a smaller community.

That first panel is one of the most awesomely amazing things I have seen out of this comic. In fact, these past two pages have just been incredible when it comes to sensations of action and impact. Please, keep it up!
it took me a while to get it with the first panel… then I realized that he kinda flies through the fake wall after the hit… I guess I’m just little slow today. The expression and feeling that I get from nicodemus is great.
Are the stores going to be “trying it out” in the UK or US or both and what about other countries?

Last page I was wondering how Nic could get out of there alive… Yeah, a major cave-in might help him out in that regard. 😉
And Alex protecting Staj with his force shield is kind of a sweet gesture, but he might want to activate his helmet too. Falling rock are not known for making exceptions for valiant behavior.
Of course, this might also be a good time to have Alex knocked out by a falling rock, and have him wake up in the real world again…
Okay, Nicodemus flying through a wall is right up there with being hit by a mace… Come to think of it, that may make an even BETTER desktop. 😀

I know there’s a couple of ‘big box’ stores near me here where I’m on travel… I’ll make an effort to swing into one of them tonight after they cut my chains.

Could you give us the ISBN# so I can request the local library buy some? We have a large graphic novel section and I think the local teens would love it.

Do we need to buy the IDW books from a brick and mortar store (like Barnes and Noble) to help keep the series in stores, or will an online store (like Amazon.com) serve just as well?
I’ll go to Barnes and Noble if need be, but I buy all of my books, DVDs, etc. online these days and would prefer to help out (I already have the 1st editions of the first two books) by buying them online.
I’m planning to give the extra copies to my nieces – maybe even my nephew – as I know they will love them.
BTW, the current chapter rocks (if you’ll pardon the pun)!

Wonderful comic, btw, and if my god-daughter could already read English, I’d share it with her. As it is, I’ll have to wait another 2 years for her English to be well enough. I am positive, she’d love it, too…
However, I have a question: I am situated in Europe – first, I was out of luck with Wowio, unable to download anything. Wowio’s solution now, with reading online is not an option for me, as I prefer to read the comics on the creator’s sites. And now, I hear Dreamland Chronicles will be published by Barnes & Nobles and other Bookstores.. in the USA :c( … How can I – sitting in Austria, tiny little country in the heart of Europe – go about buying one of your books? :c) Any advice would be much appreciated!

Great layout! Having the left corner be the low one in that first panel gives Nicodemus’ fall a good sense of depth.

How far into the story does book one stretch? I like having “hard copy” books on my shelf, and i’d definitely love to support you through brick and mortar venues, but I would like to know how much i’m getting when I ask them to stock it…

1) The book is 300 pages. It’s the same one that I have in the store (see the STORE link at the top of the page).
2) If you can NOT find this book outside the country…feel free to order it from the store (see the STORE link at the top of the page).
3) If you CAN order it from your local brick and ortar store…that would be REALLY nice of you. Even if you’ve already purchased a copy from me at the store online.
Just go and tell them to make sure they get it in to that store.
This is an INCREDIBLE way of helping us out. If the bookstores see sales. They will order more.

That is no ordinary dwarf there now. If he had underwear on his head, he would be invincible.
No one has commented on Alex making a move…
And if Felocity was not dead from the throw the falling debris should get the job done. Cats are good at falls. I accidentally knocked a cat off of a 5th story window sill. (I was a black cat and a dark overcast night and I shut the window.) It got into a cat carrier on its own and when we got back to the apartment it jumped out of the carrier and ran across the room and hid under the couch. Falling objects will do damage. Alex really should be covering the wounded member of the party IMO.
the moral of this story is don’t piss off a dwarf especially one with a weapon at hand!
