Seems all that chocolate is about to get its revenge.
That’ll teach you to go on a chocolate frenzy.
Dreamland movie….. There are no words to describe…
Comics-to-film transitions seem to be a mixed bag of success. There’s Spiderman, X-Men, Superman, etc and on the other hand, there’s Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Incredible Hulk. Well, you get the idea.
hmm i wonder, If Alex gets a wet dream, what happens in Dreamland?
Come on now. That won’t happen until Alex gets married to Nastajia 😀
Such an important plot development here for sure. 😛 Ah well what can ya do.
That look on Alex’ face in panel 3 is hilarious.
Wait, What!? D: a film?! I know im an air head, but how did i miss such amazing news?! 😀 im so gonna buy that movie the first time i see it in my reach!! I’m so excited!!! Good Luck!!!!!:D
I KNEW this was going to happen! Although if it were me, I wouldn’t have digestive problems after eating large amounts of chocolate. I would only have mental stability issues + hyperactivity. Ahhhh, it’s great to be autistic.
Heh, I wonder if Alexander ate one of those laxatives that looks like chocolate… 😛
I don’t think Alexander have any wet dreams anymore, as such. Normally, as I understand it, you stop going to Dreamland before you start to get wet dreams (presumably the onset of puberty), and after that only have ‘normal’ dreams.
With his return to Dreamland, it seems likely that Alex doesn’t have any ‘normal’ dreams anymore.
Well, not while sleeping anyway.
He might have a hot daydream about Nastaija while awake now and then though. 😉
There’s also vision quests and spirit journey’s and the like of course, but those are usually not sexually related as far as I know.
I’m shouting that whenever i need to hit up a toilet from now on.
Just imagine: you’re sitting in a theater, when someone (me) yells, at the top of their (my) voice, “BATHROOM EMERGENCY!”
You guys DO know that there aint gonna be much else than kissing in Dreamland..? I mean It’s more of a Childrens comic than ours…
Well, considering he’s clinically BRAIN DEAD while asleep, I’m pretty sure wet dreams are out of the question.
@ SparcMan:
I wouldn’t fear about it that much. You see most of (if not all) comics that make it to the big screen are Superhero movies who have a massive fanbase since the start of the comic and look back onto a twenty, maybe even more year long legacy and 90% of fans wants to see all that plot development, all that drama in a two hour film. And i didn’t even mention that the less good Superhero movie’s script writer used to have nothing in common with the original comic writer.
On other side Dreamland is not that old AND since *cough-cough* (dark blue logo in bottom left corner of site) *cough* our humble host Mr. Scott Genius Sava has an entire team of movie makers, it seems little likely that it will miss the Dreamland spirit 🙂
So don’t be afraid 🙂 The only negative thing i think can happen during the film is that you say “HEY! That’s not how Alex’s voice should sound!” 🙂
Also on topic of Today’s Comic:
Fhew… That was a close one, if it comes to him just three minutes earlier it would have brought a lot more disturbing end to his and Nastaija’s cuddle. :S
Man, I just adore seeing all the different posters and stuff in their room…^,^
From what I’ve read, it supposed to be a live action film and not animated. That may have been changed in the last year, though.
Heh; a wet dream involving Stajia would prolly be hilarious… that, and I’m trying to type in this comment while my nearly 1 year old cat wants to play. Now as far as a Dreamland movie, I would definitely pay good money to see it(even if people give it bad reviews!)
Say hello to Paul Taylor while your there will you?
oh good. a bathroom emergency will most likely involve a look into the mirror. 😉
already curious if dan found out something new – and if those news will be challenged by that medicine bag alex brought back. 😀
that’s awesome, Scott!!! I hope that you work with some top-notch people. I Love Pixar, personally.
er.. um. Foot in mouth syndrome? I missed that blue dream would be your go-to. Either way–as long as you’re on board, Scott the movie will rock ^-^;
. . . and just like that, Alex forgets about the Medicine Bag.
Morning all…
Getting ready for my meetings.
Blue Dream Studios (my studio) most likely will not have anything to do with the movie (unless it’s funded as an animated series online).
So it’s strictly studios for now. I’ll let you know if anything happens. But it’s Hollywood. So don’t hold your breath.
🙂
LOL! Love Alex’s expression!
Good Luck in Hollywood, Scott!
Scott, Good Luck! but watever you do, don’t let them pervert DreamLand!!!!!
Oh and welcome to LA!
I’m going to Comic-Con, I’m going to Comic-Con….sorry, just a little excited. defintiely going to see Scott at his booth.
Hopefully the next scene will say “A Bathroom Break Later…”
I’m excited to see a Dreamland movie, and at the same time horrified by what Hollyweird could do if they try and ‘fix’ the things that they mistakenly imagine would make it better.
Hopefully “The Goon” comes out before Dreamland, since it’s a non superhero comic from Dark Horse, and we can see how that is recieved. But Goon is a definete PG-13 movie, too much adult content in the comics, where I can’t see Dreamland topping PG at most, so being a kid’s film will definetely help us.
With a good cast and crew behind the movie, people who respect and care about it, Dreamland is sure to do well, and I don’t think Scott is willing to hand it over to just anyone. I’d rather he be like Jeff Smith who denied “Bone” to Nickelodeon because they wanted to alter it and nix scenes.
Panel 2 is full of win. 😀
All that candy is out to get him.
Yup, having nothing but chocolate for dinner can do that to a digestive system. All that sugar and all of that caffiene combine to create an urgent call from nature or two. Butt, this too shall pass, and we’ll get on with the story. Good thing Orion told Alex that he was going to wake up, too!
Good luck with Hollywood, Scott, but I voice the same sentiments as Joey, don’t let them spoil your story!
dang i feel so sorry for alex
Haha! I can relate…. >.< and I probably have that same expression on my face too.
Considering it’s a PG comic, I don’t think we have to worry about wet dreams, or similar visions. A bit of bathroom humor (as today) seems more likely. But all in good taste, more or less.
Oops, we’re slipping: we started the month at #1 top webcomic, then 2-3, then 4 and now 5! What gives??? Vote, guys, vote!
I’m rather curious as to what that poster partially hidden by Alex’s foot in the last panel is. I think I’ve seen it before, but I can’t remember where and it’s bugging me now.
And judging by the look through that door and the half-remember thought that Alex lives in a dorm (doesn’t he?), I’m getting a communal bathroom vibe. That’s just not fun for anyone…
I am really excited about Dreamland being a movie! I like Alex’s expression in the second panel and the little hint their dorm is messy with the coke cans on the dresser in the last panel 🙂
LOL! love this! I knew he should still have an upset stomach from the chocolate… was wondering about that. Too funny. 🙂
hope he doesn’t drop that thingy he has for dan in the toilet 😛
ooh a movie? sweet, i’d go see that on opening night 😀
If the sun plus pain was hitting his eyes like that, his pupils should be more constricted than what they are. Otherwise another great shot 😛
As for the movie, well, it better stick strictly to the story line (and not a summary) or else!!
I lol’d at this comic.
One suggestion is that you should totally make Dreamland a video-game, too 😀 I would SO play it!
Hollywood? Really?
Frankly, I’m not sure I like that. I think I’d almost prefer an independent studio…
Wasn’t it some Hollywood studio that wanted to change Terry Pratchett’s ‘Mort’ and “loose the Death angle”?
BATHROOM BREAK!!!
