Page 743…
Well…I hope you enjoyed this week.
I know I did. What a fun sequence.
In other news…
My workstation died today. I’ve had it for over 4 years…and it’s been very good to me.
This is really hurting me for time…but hopefully I can buy a temporary computer to keep up with the schedule until I can afford a proper replacement workstation.
I’ll let you all know if anything changes with the schedule. Right now I have 6 pages in advance done. So I need to get crackin’.
Thanks for all the well wishes on the 20 years with Donna. We both really enjoyed reading all of the posts.
I still have Fan Pages I need to put up somehow and somewhere. So those of you waiting to see yours up. I haven’t forgotten about you.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing you all back here on Monday.
Maybe we’ll finally get news of the books in the stores by then.
🙂
See ya
Scott
Aww, only a KRAK this time?
But a very satisfying KRAK, I say. 🙂
He can dish it out, but can he take it? I wonder what will happen when Nic decides to do something other than talking and getting dramatically knocked through walls.
But I have a feeling we’re not going to see the outcome of this fight, and instead focus on the gang running for their lives.
I think the green dwarf will tear the place down (:P),
lovefistin’ his *ss.
keep up the good work,
lolz ^^
‘you dare to KRAK me?’ ^^
Must be one hell of a blow to bring down a dwarven hall.
Go King Boggy!
Okay, that might not sound all that good.
Anyway, I’ve been waiting to see Nicodemus get slapped around a little. I hope it doesn’t turn into one of those things like where the hero (or worse, second-string character) seems to be winning, and then the baddie just catches his hand/weapon, grins, and proceeds to demonstrate that they never even really touched him. I want Nicodemus to be nursing a broken jaw or ribs or something for a while.
You’ve created an excellent villain in him, and I look forward to the rest of the story. I also look forward to getting the rest of it in dead tree format.
RE the guest week, you had some nice stuff there. Though — if things really do work in the Dreamland by imagination and belief — Alex could really use a (much more restrained) anime fanboy on his side. A few Dragonball-style blasts are just the thing to clean up those annoying hordes of Nightmare creatures chasing after you. (Or he could be a Marvel fanboy: “Noisy Dragon hurt Hulk’s friends! Hulk will Smash!)
More seriously, if it does work that way, Alex needs to clue in and get his imagination working somehow. It seems almost as though his brother has the inventive imagination, and Alex has the heart, but his brother can’t get into Dreamland… why?
Oh, well, that’s the mark of an interesting story; you ask yourself questions and hope they get answered eventually.
KABOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEM!!!!!
I’ve been hanging around the fringes for awhile and just never commented, but I had to say today how much I love the angle and the lighting in the last frame of Nastajia and Alex. It looks great. I love your work and this comic.
(Oh, and congratulations to you and Donna on 20 years!)
I’m really hoping we’re not about to witness a giant mausoleum in the making. . .
Regarding the books hitting the stores (soon?), I’m kind of torn. I got the first one from Amazon and the second one directly off this website. The sketch and autograph on the latter really made it special for my nine-year-old son for whom I purchased these as a birthday present (he loves them!). But if it really helps to get them at local bookstores, I’ll check out that possibility as gifts for the nephews.
In any case, I eagerly await Book 3!
Jesus, Scott. You are just too nice man. No wonder you have such a dedicated fan base. Good luck w/ the replacement rig.
Great Sequence, Scott! Talk about bringing down the house!
nice page! 😀
I thought you said that guest strips/art were going to be on the weekends =P
Yay! These last three pages have ROCKED. 😀
They will remember Felicity before the tunnel collapses, right?
Hi! I just recently was introduced to the comic. I’ve read all the waf through. Really enjoying it so far. ^_^
I love this comic. After I graduated middle school and found out the library at my new school didn’t have a big enough Graphic Novel section, I told my librarians about the books I’ve read…
I read the first two books. Now that I’ve been catching up on webcomics, I really like how this story is turning out. I was thinking “What happens next?” that whole spring-summer.
wow….I’m so excited! I can’t wait to see how this battle turns out. Alex looks bored though. haha
LMAO…Hit that damn dragon some more! XD
Hnh. About time someone actually hit Nicodemus instead of just cowering like a scared kitten.
You know…if you look at the top of the frame at a certain angle…it looks like a pieces of stone is balanced on top of the mace.
A bit late to the party on this, but what I’ve seen happen when other web cartoonists suffer a massive hardware failure like the one you’ve just had with your workstation is this: they set up a way for readers to donate, perhaps with a special pay pal button.
Just a suggestion – and I’m sure plenty of readers would kick in whatever they could afford if it means keeping the Dream Chronicles coming.
Anyone notice how bored Alex looks in this page with the whole place coming down? lol ^_^
Also his head isn’t under his shield… lol, I hope he doesn’t get crushed! 😉
That purple Dome is Alex’s force shield
Bognok is hardcore 😀
BearIM: That’d be Paddington. 😉
Go Bognok, Go Bognok, Go Bognok, Go Bognok, Go Go
😛
Now throw the mace at him and yell “HAVE AT THEE!”
Haha, the last panel looks like Alex is just holding up an umbrella to protect his distressed love from the rain (while trying to be very casual himself). That’s classic. 🙂
TChalla, if you are in a real battle, one of the last things you want to do is to throw away a weapon, unless you have an effective replacement at hand.
Oh no the whole place is scrashing down! TIME FOR A MAKEOUT SCENE.
And to think dwarves are supposed to be engineers…
Ah, but many engineers (especially of the Dwarven variety) are just as skilled at demolition as they are at construction.
😉
HIT HIM AGAIN!
I take it back… He does not need the power of underwear.
I suppose if they did the logical thing and stuck the pointy end of their weapons into Nic…nah.
It is Grognok’s own damned fault for busting through that wall at the behest of the amulet. It clearly had structural significance for the stability of the cave.
Everyone’s comments are making me Krak… errr, *crack* up 😀
Uh-oh………. CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
