I know Tracy is working on getting the storytelling a bit more clear.
If we can do it visually… we will. But if not… maybe a bit of prose may help.

The level of hate Merlin has for the Gilgamess would almost suggest that Merlin holds Abaddon responsible for blinding Arthur to the perils of the open link between Worlds. Granted, Arthur tended to suffer from his own certitude, but malice was never his intention. Cannot say the same for the man who would be immortal. Things are getting interesting.
Gilgamesh is responsible and Merlin knows.
And also responsible for his separation from Niviene 😉

Yep, the portals are blowing up. There are pieces of them flying apart.

There is room for a few more twists.
There is that nightmare beast in the bathroom who probably did not get disintegrated when the portals went kaboom.
There is bound to be some drama when Alex discovers he cannot return to wakeland. Of course, there is also room for “Man Partings”:
Nicole and Dan’s reunion
Alex and Nastaja’s wedding
Epilogues for the other characters
And perhaps a glimpse of magical Merlin and Neviene.
