The sword is powerful and will cut through any armour but the scabbard has healing properties. It is my opinion that Alex will now lead the others to the Nightmare Realm to try and rescue the woman he loves.
… a small web content issue, which you may not have noticed; prior to this page, you have two “page 1912″s. This page probably should be labelled ‘1914’.
‘Tis a moot point, detected by my OCD 🙂
Wait, maybe htis sword is the real ‘swords of kings’ and the other is just a substitute?
A copy. Made by Merlin, who thought about the forces of Dreamland all fighting over that one sword for power over Dreamland.
And the real sword kept in security by the mermaids.
I’m wondering why it wasn’t healing him before this. Maybe just being attached to Alex wasn’t enough, the scabbard had to be in actual contact with his flesh for the magic to work.
Welp, that’s Avalon for you, best compliment for a sword anyone can have. Dunno if the scabbard is called that here, it does have that name in some stories involving Arthurian mythology.
IT’S ALIVE, IT’S ALIIIIVE
Yep. The sword has healing powers.
Welcome back, you foolish, foolish boy!
Not only is he alive his physical form is in Dreamland. I love where this seems to be going.
Wait… Does that mean that the searching his pockets for change is suspended?

Ah they gave it back to him just in the nick of time 🙂 hopefull it improved his brains as well as his health….
The scabbard is so powerful that it not only heals the flesh, it cleans clothing of blood and dirt, too! Mutli-purpose artifacts are extremely useful.
Make a nice change to have a (relatively) happy Friday – although I don’t think Alex has a clue where is is just yet 🙂
That could lead to yet another magical explosion. Probably even a more devastating one.

Alex was just mostly dead. It’s only when you’re all dead that one resorts to the pocket search.
Damnit.. Can’t loot a corpse if the corpse comes back to life. What are we supposed to do now I ask?
ABOUT GRAVY DANG FLIPPING TIME!!! Finally the suspense is over!!!
omg. now I’m noticing it too. >_<
“Hoo boy! You should have seen the look on your faces!”

Technically, the scabbard does.
I can see Nastajia now when somebody brings her up to speed on this… “Oh good, You’re alive, and healed.. I”M GONNA KILL YOU FOR BEING SO FOOLISH!”
“You’re not clean unless you’re ZESTFULLY clean!!”
Some advertising slogans stick in a guy’s brain and come out years later.

Supposed to be a serious moment…and Bri can only picture the gasping scene from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
Does Alex look exactly like old pal Ohforf’sake in that last panel, or is it just me?
Thumbs Up!!! omg that is funny.
Cue Stan Bush’s “The Touch.”
his nose isn’t that big
Yaaaas!!!
Best Friday comic EVAR! 🙂
Still, the similarity is striking.
Surprise!!! Alex is alive and ready to do some serious damage!!!
It’s name is…Avalon!!!
What the HECK?!? I had no idea Dreamland has started back up!!! just spent the last hour catching up!
Thank you for catching that. Fixed!
Welcome back!
Shades of ‘Torchwood’ and Capt Jack Harkness.
STOP! Alex is supposed to have GREEN eyes, not brown!

Please fix?

The real sword of kings is dreamland magic object. THIS sword is excalibur, “wake-land” magic object.
Nastajia: “So this scabbard can heal you? Hold it firmly. Now, about you being so foolish to jump the portal … “
… the healing have some … sideeffects …
Ha ha, excellent idea! I would totally accept AND laugh at that – it would be hilarious! 😀 Especially if it wore off after a little while.!
Aww man you beat me to it. 😉
I’m wondering that myself…!
…Meanwhile, deep inside a Clichequest dungeon, Alexander Carter wakes up to discover he’s neither in Dreamland nor in Wakeworld any more.
Magical portals overloaded to the point of explosive self-destruction tend to act up, you know.
Also, I love the Noobcomic references, Desmond! Pity that their comic has been on hold for so long now after their web site crashed. 🙁
This has “Monday” page written all over it…
Scott, did you miss a page? ;P
Anyway, thanks for the stress-free weekend!
Indeed 🙁
