Oh, of course he is. And that might actually work. As we’ve seen, he’s physically almost unbeatable in Dreamland, it’s just mental attacks he has problems with. If he went through the Pool and fought Abaddon while Niviene protected him from their illusions, he might be able to hold them off until the others arrived.
We’ll see what happens.

Why is she suddenly out of strength?
She was attacked by a massive number of Abaddon, killed many of them until they overwhelmed her; then after she escaped them, to get to the cave of treasures and the Portal before they followed her she had to swim at her maximum speed. I’m surprised she’s got enough strength to open the Portal, actually.
I remember now that it took Merlin’s help for her to pass completely through the pool portal, so she clearly does not have the strength to come through by herself to escape Abbadon. She knows she has to pass on the two items and close the portal before Abbadon arrives, or else Abbadon will know to assault Alex and his family on Earth. Of course, the plot may be that Abbadon does see Alex take the glowing pot and this motivates Alex, Oberon and Titania to flee to either France, to save Merlin, or Egypt to use the portal there, drawing Abbadon away from Alex’s family.

Alex, please don’t do anything stupid and just take the darn things.
His dream body has super strength, not his “normal” one. If he jumps into the fray as is, he’s toast.
Alex acting like an inmature, dense dolt is sure helping the situation, but then, we shouldna expect too much from our years long acquaintance. Would be a wonder indeed if scott allowed that guy to grow a friggen brain after all those years – a working one for that matter, no less!
