I’ve finished another painting for Dreamland!
Art Nouveau Alexander!
Prints are available (and as of now…the original is too).
I’m beginning work on Kiwi next.
Hope you like.

Whoa. That is a NICE picture of Alexander. I’ve never seen him looking quite so…Royal. He looks good. Very nice job done there. If the prints were less expensive, I would love to have one. Maybe you could think about selling wallpapers of some of these things you do.
Stubborn elves. Nastajia seems to have calmed down.
What’s with the wicked bad sunburn on Nastajia the last two comics?
Ha ha, that’s a GREAT comment from Nastajia! X-D
Forbidden by whom? Who had the power to make that sort of decree stick for all these years? That particular declaration sounds like someone complaining they’ve been blind since birth when in reality, they’re simply wearing a hat that’s too big.
Love the picture of Alex. Should Sava consider using other art styles? Let see,Vargas and Patrick Nigel would be reserved for the female characters. How would the Pop art style look on the characters-Andy Warhol to Richard Avaedon.
I like better the Alex in your painting, than in your regular comic.
It looks more “masculine”.
The Queen – and to a lesser degree, the Pharaoh – have made comments that suggest someone or something laid down rules they must follow. Who could have done this, if this is actually what happened, and what exactly those rules are, we don’t know. Yet.
It might be odd rendering. Or shadows. But also remember, the glass ceiling above them has several stained glass panels in it; Nastajia might be standing under a one. That might be why her hair is oddly colored, too. Doesn’t seem to be affecting her armor, though.
It did actually happen as an alternative to being treated as prisoners of war (as mentioned on the page before the one I linked). As for how it is enforced this many years later…I’ve been assuming that it has something to do with how difficult it is to get to Seraphopolis. It’s probably equally difficult for them to leave.
Obviously there’s been some interaction (at least up until Nicodemus usurped the throne) since the Guardians were mentioned on tablets outside of Seraphopolis and they had a tablet of their own documenting Nic’s treason…but there’s no evidence of their existence being known by the people of Dreamland after that.
i just noticed the Queen’s eyes, how pretty! she reminds me of Storm from X-Men.
I agree…I’ve been watching this for some time now, and shadows or not it just doesn’t look natural on any level…even if it is supposed to be odd lighting coming in from above. On that same token Alex has looked funny, too…while their armor remains largely unaffected?
@ Julie,
Thank you for reminding me about this… i was wondering about that myself. The down side of reading a book one page a day
not sure i would agree … the painting to me is too “Disney – Prince Charming” and that is NOT Alex 😉
Good call! How much you wanna bet she’s got a mane of white hair hidden underneath that hat?
I like how Nastajia is coming around, as she understands more about the situation. I think it was more her frustration speaking than actual anger at the Seraphopolitans.
One minor peeve: should it be “proficiency in magic and technology” (or “at”) rather than “of”? “Proficiency of” is followed by the persons who are proficient, not by the subjects they should be proficient in.
Don’t you know what happens to a toad when it’s struck by lightning?
*smacks lips* Hmm..what’s that elusive flavor again princess? Oh yes. Humble pie.
yep, stubbornness runs in her family.lol
Lol it is very good!!! But he looks a little like peter from the narnia movies to me
Hmm, good point. Phrased as it is, ‘mastery’ might be a better fit.
