Page 1363…
Hi all!
So sorry for missing yesterday’s page. The 6 days gone for webcomic con (and visiting family too) left me playing catch-up.
Had a good time at the con. Got to meet lots of other fellow webcomic creators.
There was “Mookie” from Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
We did a “Fantasy in Webcomics” Panel together (the 3 of us).
And I got to meet Gordon from Multiplex!
And even Yan and Marie from Drowtales! They both did a wonderful sketch for me too!
Here’s Marie and me with their sketches. Dan and Nastajia.
You should check out Drowtales too!
I also got to see several other great people from Dr. McNinja to Phil and T. Campbell to so many more.
I’ll try to post more links later!
It seems highly improbably for all of this to happen in one night starting with Felicity receiving a letter in Astoria. But now that I read back, it’s not so “inconceivable.” It just started so long ago, in June. It took 4 months to go through 1 night.
Man, I wish I could sleep that long. 🙂
Thanks for the story Scott.
Is Nicole going with them then? Somehow I don’t think that’s gonna sit well with Alex
Glad to hear you had a good time at the con! 😀
You took the words right out of my … er, keyboard.
😉
I got that too. And beyond Alex, could this be a “Mom, I’ve got a girlfriend and here she is.” scenario shaping up?
Then there’s the whole dream time not equaling real time and, in addition, the story’s time not being the same as the time in real life. There’s so many time warps going on that it really does take some getting used to. That said, its probably just better to just accept that things are the way they are and enjoy the ride.
Or do the time warp, again. It’s just a jump to the left…
…I read that as well… here’s hoping.
The next’ll probably be something with Alex questioning:
“Wait… what? Nicole’s coming with us?”
+ 1
There’s nothing like an eyeball-to-eyeball with like minded people for fun and to make sure no creative ‘cobwebs’ can grow.
Also, battle scenes tend to take much longer to show than non-battle times–there is so much going on, but it plays out rather quickly.
I would assume they’ve already discussed it. It’s not like Dan to spring something like this on Alex at the last minute. Also, he would have had to arrange this with their Mom ahead of time (“Yes Mom I’m bringing a girl home. Yes Mom I know girls. Yes Mom I know THIS girl. No Mom this isn’t a school project. No Mom we’re not married or about to be married, and she’s not pregnant. No Mom she’s not blackmailing me…”)
Hi all!
So…guess what?
The Train…remember the train?
Apparently…back in 2007….I was using a very “special” version of 3D Max that I don’t have any more.
The WHOLE chapter…I can’t access.
I’m getting some help from the developers. But you’ll have to forgive me…it looks like we’ll only have the 3 pages this week.
Sorry.
Scott
I know this is more of a nitpick, but I think there should at least be some sort of mention about a shower. I mean, Alex has got to be smelling like the nexus of stinkiness.
Totally understandable! You do what you gotta’ do to make it happen as you can make it happen! We’re your loyal fans, man!
Dreamland, Dominic Deegan, and Misfile are three of my favorite webcomics! I wish I could have gone to the panel, but, alas, interstate travel is not within my budget, atm.
Try traveling from Europe.
A bold move Dan. A bold move. Well played.
So the next part of this story will be at the Carter household?
What will Alex be like away from the grind of school and will his “extra credit” be given to him?
Oof… Drowtales… really?
Sorry, it’s been a long time and this is ancient history but I’ve never gone back since the crossroads explosion, darn… it’s been almost what… 10 years now?
Again, ancient history, so it might as well not even matter, I just never expected to hear Drowtales in any form of positive light again since then.
So, seeing a pic of you Scott, it finally makes sense why you use Paddington as your avatar 😛
Understood, Scott! Good luck!
Cause…I’m so…..lovable?
🙂
Wow, I never really thought of 3D files in that way, I’m actually pretty intrigued to see what you guys are able to come up with! Best of luck Scott. ^_^
Oh no! The project has been completely derailed.
Here’s to wishing you the best of luck getting things back on track. I don’t mind the “I think I can” attitude either. We are all still enjoying the ride.
Did… Did you just pull off a Train Pun x4 combo? (Yes, I’ve been reading Homestuck)
Glad to hear things went smoothly. And you got to meet Kern and Kite! I actually have the two of you guys’ websites next to each other in my bookmarks list tree. And which Phil were you talking about? I can think of at least two…
KKHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!!!
The good side of fast technological growth: being able to do all sorts of amazing things.
The bad side: how quickly those things can get left behind. Or lost forever.
I’d think that he’s only spent one night here–so he’d just at the regular stage for showering. It was in Dreamland that so much has happened, including all that physical effort. And there’s he’s more dressed for the showers. (And might have some willing help?) 😉
You mean . . . it’s not because of your dance moves?
Say it’s not so!
What crossroads explosion? If it was 10 years ago, that must’ve been before I encountered it…and I admit I’m curious.
Just because no-one else has mentioned it…Is there any particular reason the sword necklace is floating? Or is that a glitch? Because it would be really cool if we discovered it had magical powers in our world….
lol. …Sorry, not familiar with that one.
There are a couple reasons the necklace would seem to float 1. Could just be capturing the motion. If you sit up quickly enough a thick chain can jump up because of its weight. 2. Also depending on the way a chain is built it may not lay down flat unless you flatten it yourself. Have you ever seen necklaces so tightly woven they can stand up when bent at around 90 degrees?
