Page 985…
Hey all…
We’re back in the real world.
One thing I wanted to add was a bit about Twins.
My boys…if they wake up after the other…always ask…”where’s Logan?” or “where’s Brendan?”
So I thought this would be appropriate for Alex.
🙂
Â
Also…
Here’s a fun story about our night with the Nashville Predators Hockey Team.
What fun.

And that’s that.
More to follow tomorrow.
Been SUPER busy here. SO I’m just happy to get these out in a timely manner.
See you all tomorrow.
Scott
Awesome way to start the next sequence with the twins reference!
Also, I would just like to remind our readers that, if you don’t already know this, Tennessee is one of the most beautiful states in this country to drive through (and the southern hospitality- along with the sweet tea- is unbeatable)! I was visiting Bob Jones University in South Carolina this weekend and had to take an interesting detour to get back to WI courtesy of the land slide that happened on I-40 (we weren’t anywhere near it when it happened, praise the Lord!), but it was just absolutely gorgeous to see those mountains and hollers (aka valleys) as we were driving through. I have lots of pics I’ll be posting on my Facebook. Scott, if you want to email me, I’ll add you to my Facebook friends so you can see the pics. One of my friends must’ve taken over 100 shots of NC and TN’s scenery as we were driving through. lol
So, moral of the story is if you want to see some absolutely beautiful scenery, make sure you go visit Scott and his family (Nashville, the surrounding valley, and the mountains on the way up to Mammoth Caves, KY on I-65 are also very pretty this time of year; though I didn’t get to see that stretch of road this trip)!
Getting back onto topic, with the first part of my response- I have twin cousins who are the same way, so I saw this kind of behavior often when I’d babysit them. 🙂
I’m still greatly amused at the Thundercats shirt.
Thunder… thunder… thundercats! Hoooooooooooooooooooo!
(feel the power, hear the roar! thundercats are loose!)
I have yet to see ANYONE do LAUNDRY in either Dreamland or back on earth… For all I know, the last time Alex was even in water was when Nastajia was trying to study! C’mon, Scott! Where is the laundry sequence? *grins* (Sorry, groping a bit for pertinent subject matter)
More seriously… that’s very neat about twins. I didn’t really get to experience that with my twin sister… she died when we were 4 days old. We were 27-weekers back in ’81. I will say that I still feel like a small ‘something’ is missing at times. I’ve had many a long and tear-filled conversation with my mother over the years about my sister.
I love all the little details you add to the “awake world” sequences. I’ve spent waaaay too much time going back and forth among frames to try to identify each poster on a wall, and each book you have placed here and there.
I love that cover of The Hobbit you used (though I own a different boxed set since like ’93) and it took me a long time to recognize the “A Princess of Mars” cover. I thought that was an odd choice, considering all the John Carter novels to choose from, but it makes sense as the story goes on. I went down the stack of books that Dan had, reading the spines, but now we see somce covers.
Very cool.
I can’t speak to the twins behavior – but my mother is one of three identical triplets. I never got to see them growing up (obviously), but she’s said she really didn’t start to have a life as an individual in her own right until she married my father after college and moved back to his home town some hundreds of miles away. When the three of them get together, they still go back and forth over which one used to do what and how the others would respond. There’s definitely a certain dynamic at work there.
Oh dear god. Now I know I am old as hell… 😛
I actually remember that show. Liono was the one who had to use the sword to call the other Thundercats. I am stopping my reminiscing before I kill some one with boredom. Or with my inevitably horrid attempts at trying to imitate the entire show… and failing horribly.
In the last panel, you can see how comfortable Nicole is with Dan now. They are definitely in each other’s personal space. Not trying to imply anything romantic, but there certainly is a lack of tension between them now.
Actually, I know that I at least used to always ask where my brother was when I’d get up (assuming I didn’t already know)- and we aren’t twins, and I don’t know if he ever did the same thing, although I think when we were younger he must have. And once in awhile I get up (when my brother and I both happen to be home, which isn’t often since we’re both in college now) and my mom’ll say, “Your brother is looking for you.”
But we got asked if we were twins more than any non-twin siblings I know. And we’re pretty close together, only 16 months apart.
I also love the details! They’re great, and just add to the whole feel of the comic!
Amen.
🙂
And I have a link to my Facebook on the top right of the page.
See you there.
Wow. That’s sad.
I’m sorry to hear that.
But I’m sure it’s good you and your mom can talk about it…
Morning all!
I really wish I had a pizza right now….though on the topic of the comic, awesome stuff as always, I would elaborate but im a night owl posting right before I head to bed and I am barely able to keep my eyes open ^_^
4th and 5th panel, Alex looks like he has OoT Link hands, cool. So Alex, got a response for her, you who denied me a chance to see Nastajia? *grrr*
That’s just kids. Every morning, I wake my toddler up, so we can head to daycare/work. His sister and mother are usually already gone. The first thing he does, after fighting to keep the covers on him, is ask where is mother is, and after that answer, ask were his sister is. I think it makes sense, since he went to sleep wtih 2 people in the room, that anyone would ask where one went.
Shnarfle, shnarf shnarf.
I should think laundry wouldn’t need to be done in dreamland, maybe? I dunno. As to none being done in real-world; Dan probably has to do all of it, and that when Alex isn’t on hand to harass him about doing laundry. … It wouldn’t surprise me, anyway.
Come to think of it… With all the sleeping at the school and … stuff; when was the last time ANYBODY took a shower?!?
But we haven’t missed all the laundry-type stuff–remember when Alex had to run because of eating too much chocolate?
The last day or two I kept forgetting to say how much Orion seems more approachable and less angry–even to laughing at Alex’s jokes.
The couches there may not be so comfortable–but it really depends on the company you are with, doesn’t it?
I’m an identical twin, and that sounds about right. After living with someone for so long, it definitely makes you expect them to be there all the time.
My fiance is an identical twin, if we’re all together he and his brother definitely do this. 🙂
And a side note, don’t forget the Shannendoah River Valley in western Va. Just take I-81 the whole way.
I find it hard to believe you are as old as the place called Hell. 🙂
As for me, I actually remember having the toys growing up. I did have the entire show Bittorrented to my external hard drive, but found myself growing dumber from watching the cartoon. Though it was cool as a 4 year old, I have to say it’s not that educational or mind stimulating as a 27 year old….
This is true! I was there in the Spring a few years back, and that was also very lovely in March (It was great, my Symphonic Band went from snow in WI to flowers blooming in West Virginia within 2 days, then through the tunnel to VA; oh what sites to behold!). I also love that area cause it’s so filled with history- i.e. – I want a metal detector next I go through to find Civil War relics! lol
Hiya 🙂 I’m a new reader, just ran out of comic. After putting off everything else I should’ve been doing over the past couple of days to catch up on the archives, I feel rather bereft.
Great couple of days though 😉 Thank you so much – I’m looking forward to reading more!
Welcome elf_friend.
Hope you don’t get into too much trouble from missing other things.
🙂
Wow! I look forward to more twins trivia ^^
I’ve heard of an identical twin who on occasion ran into full-length mirrors because she “knew” her twin would be the one to dodge out of the way…
Ha, that’s funny about the twins — I have younger brothers that are twins and they do the same thing!
Does anybody really have any doubt that both boys took all their laundry with them when they went home to visit their mom?
The laundry has been done, recently. Yay, mom!
Nicole: “Oh, you’re up. Guess I don’t have to drop this heavy stack of books on your face after all.”
Yes, Lion-O could use the Sword of Omens to summon the other Thundercats.
Funny thing is, about half the time he actually didn’t need them at all and had solved the situation on his own by the time they got there. He probably just wanted a lift back to Cats Lair in the Thundertank.
