I believe Scott said (might have been in the comments of a previous post) that he was posting Tracy’s pages from the beginning of this chapter so that the entire chapter would have the same art style (plus as a refresher since it’s been nearly two years).
If you go to yesterday’s page. There’s a link to the 60+ pages I’d done in CGI for this chapter.
We wanted to start from the beginning of the chapter so it would have some continuity.
In story explanation: We are now seeing this from a different character’s perspective. Different people see the world (especially the Dream World) differently.
Honestly, I’m just so impressed that you’ve hired another artist to create daily pages. You’ve put a LOT of time and money into this project that we, your fans, get to enjoy for free. That is absolutely incredible. Thank you so much!
It’s actually logical that Daniel would come in and see things differently from his brother. The different art style makes it clear that this is now Daniel’s dream.
I am LOVING the new art style, and like FontLady says, it does seem like we’re seeing things from a different perspective. Sure I’m going to miss the 3D art that made up so much of the story so far, but Tracy is knocking the artwork out of the park. I’m so excited to see her interpretations of the other characters.
I’m also really pleased to see the return of Dreamland Chronicles after so long. It’s rare that I hold out for so long to see how a story finishes, but this series has gripped me from the very beginning. This is a triumphant return, thanks to Scott and Tracy.
I will be completely honest if I say that I equally like the 2D art. I mean, sure, there is a tiny feel of missing the 3D, but that is probably because we got used to it. I’m definitely here for the story, as my first impression was “meh another Barbie Tale” when I saw the 3D, and it took several pages to convince me that this is actually worth reading. And that was yeaaars ago.
So, keep up the good work (amazing art and wonderful story), be it in any shape that is available to you!
Honestly, when I first saw the new art I was thinking “What the f…” But, upon seeing that it is the start of Daniel’s term as king, I now see it as Awesome!
And Tracy, thank you for your hard work and dedication. The art work is beautiful. My initial reaction was never a criticism of the art, but the unexpected change in style. Again, thank you.
I’m enjoying it, but i miss the old 3d models
I actually like the illustrations a lot! I think it really fits with the story, and has a whole “Disney” feel to it.
Just wondering why we’re back-peddling here. If I remember correctly the story was well into pages 1800+ . I’m not the only one to notice I’m sure?

It’s lovely! I like 2D, very charming and not a bit inferior comparing to the 3D.

I can’t wait to see Nick. He’s going to look amazing, I’m sure.

Ah it’s back! I’m glad Tracy is doing this from the beginning of the chapter. It will help job my memory, and get me acquainted with the new designs.
