Happy Monday!
I know a lot of you were wondering what Felicity was up to. Right?
Right?
Well you’re in luck. We have a whole week of Felicity goodness.
Hope you enjoy!

Guess it’s going to be a while before we see what’s up with Alex and Nick…
Oh, Good. She caught herself.
I guess I’m a little disappointed in her… she looks like she’s not even trying! I would have thought a former petty thief like her would be more stealthy and wary of traps than she seems to be. Has she been with our heroes so long that she has forgotten the “tools of the trade?”
After spending too many years on the streets of Astoria and inside a dungeon, maybe Felicity is losing her touch? Yes? No? Grey area?
I’ve always felt Felicity got by on pure “moxy”. She’s no “expert”. She’s never been trained. She’s got good instincts, great reflexes, and 9 lives.
🙂
Fel, Fel, Fel, don’t you know your dungeon crawling tropes? When something goes ‘click’ underfoot you immediately spring forward and hope the deathtrap / pitfall / cage or net misses, or at least only kills an NPC. Sigh.
That would have been a bad end to your day
Still 9 lives?
I think that she’s beginning to get the point of this little excursion. 🙂
i just realized something. Scott, did you get any inspiration for dreamland from The Chronicles of Narnia?
This comic being your creation, it’s hard to argue with canon. That said…
Felicity may not be an “expert.” However, she grew up on the streets, having to steal just to survive. One does NOT have to get FORMAL training in order to get any sort of training at all. And, often, the School of Hard Knocks is an effective – if HARSH – teacher. If one has a LIFETIME of experience doing something, one would hope they picked up a few tricks of the trade.
To say someone with Fel’s background gets by on nothing more than luck and instincts… well, it certainly seems like a disservice to someone.
Then again, she is a Tigrin. Perhaps it is in her blood?
snarf!
Yes. Of course.
Princess of Mars
Little Nemo in Slumberland
The Hobbit
The Neverending Story
The Chronicles of Narnia
And a pinch of the Princess Bride
On the one hand, you have a point. On the other…the School of Hard Knocks probably didn’t train her to spot booby traps. 🙂 Unless of course she stole from some very paranoid people…and even then, we’ve learned that her facination for shiny things can make her oblivious to everything else (as in when she stole the bracelet from Nic). 😛
Oh Felicity…a little less “eye on the prize” and a little more “eye on surviving to get to the prize” is needed here. 😛
