Page 823…
So I got my wife into facebook. This was just last night.
Now she wont’ get OFF the stupid thing.
Ha ha. I’ve created a facebook monster. I don’t know what to do.
ย
I’m still trying to lock up what conventions I’m attending. I’m sorry I haven’t updated the convention schedule on the site.
I’ll do that soon.
I’ve also not replied to some 100 emails. Ugh. My apologies.
I will reply to them all. I promise. I have good news coming…but can’t talk about it yet. But it is a good excuse to not have the time to reply to emails or update the site. So please be patient.
Anyways. I hope you liked today’s page. I appreciate all the comments and we’ll see you tomorrow.

Agh! The suspense! It’s being put out one more day!! (Although I completely understand in the scheme of the book that this makes total sense) Oh man… poor Nicole! Poor Felicity! Poor me having to wait until tomorrow!
“I have a bad feeling about this.”
I second everything (including the stuff in parentheses) that Limax said.
I echo the above. It’s got all the perfect hallmarks that keep us waiting with baited breath! ^.^
And the action thing you did with Felicity flicking her hands… wonderful and masterfully done! ๐
cue the scene where she is caught, surprised, and the authorities do a forced seperation.
What kind of strange orange is that, that you crunch? ๐
Now sucking and slurping I would understand….
Your kids will grow up unparented!B-) ;D
Sheesh, for a thief, Felicity sure makes a lot of noise. Even her flicks make noises.
I too like the hands flicking. Very nice ๐
Didn’t think I would like Facebok. My wife had to rag me into blogging on LiveJournal. Now the two supplement each other pretty well and most of my friends are in both places.
However, if you fdon’t block all apps, FB can be such a time-sink.
conventions?? would one of those happen to be A-kon in Dallas???
Hi! In the last panel, it seems that the fruit dissapeared!
I have a bad feeling about this [2] =/
Now, this is in no way a bad remark, but I felt that during the panels that Felicity was both talking and eating, she should have had a “my mouth has food in it” way of talking. But thats only a thought of mine. This entire Chronicle is amazing and I could easily read the entire archive just because it is that great. Keep up the good work!
This is why Nicole blocked Dreamland from her memory… she has a dark past, a former life of crime!
Maybe another PhilCon? If I have a job, I’m sure I can attend, maybe even save bus money and bunk at my aunt’s.
I never understood the obsession behind Facebook, though a friend acts like its law that everyone must have an account there.
cute…they…look….over…bursting….cuteness…*sploded*
Something just doesn’t seem right.
Hmmmm… I wonder if the vendor allows one fruit per customer for sample. Might explain why it was so easy…
Oh, Scott… you have another one of those ‘not approved for all ages’ ads at the top of the page from Project Wonderful… just thought you’d like to know.
Sooo feel your pain, brother. Facebook is eeeeviiiil.
Where does the fruit go in the last panel? Did she drop it just so she could flick her hands? 0_o
She might be fast at eating? Looks very much like Nicole getting caught and Felicity getting into trouble? — Been reading this lovely comic for few months now, thx Scott^^
I can totally imagine that scenario with your wife and ‘the book!’, all I can say is good luck! ๐
Seriously though, once she gets over the initial excitement I’m sure things will calm down. ๐
Also, that first panel, Felicity’s pose, expression etc. is AWESOME!!! Nice job! ๐
Ribbo, it’s obviously a DREAMLAND orange. ๐
It’s an orange that’s green on the inside!
รขโฌยฆI wonder what the Dreamlanders call those?
I’m half-expecting Nichole to knock the fruits over. Not the whole stand, just some of the fruits.
Project wonderful seems to randomize its web-comic links, and a good deal are not all ages appropriate.
Ok Felicity just stopped being cute and seems more like a bully forceing Nicole to do something she is uncomfortable with. Bad Kitty.
Thanks all…
1) I blocked that one ad on top. SO it shouldn’t come back.
Thanks for the heads up.
2) That is indeed a dreamland native fruit. I’ve yet to name it.
3) Felicity eats the whole thing before the “flick flick” move. Maybe I’ll make that more obvious somehow.
You guys are the best.
The real question is…where DID that orange go? =P
I have the same problem, Scott: on New Year’s, my husband talked with one of his friends from back home, then turned to me and said “you have to show me how to get on Facebook.
Every day when we get home from work, he heads straight for it, spends hours looking through old pictures for friends and sending mindless little sentiments flicking around the internet. Egads, like you, I’ve created a monster.
NIce “flick flick” motion. I can totally see Felicity doing it, too….I can’t wait ’till tomorrow! What will happen…?
Hey Scott… What if you just put the fruit in Felicity’s mouth in the last panel? Like someone biting and holding an apple in their mouth for a moment when they use both hands for something else… ? Just a thought. ^.^
Hahaha, about Facebook — I’ve been guilty of being a “facebook monster” myself, and I think I convinced my wife to become one too! Ever find a solution?
Knowing Nicole, maybe a bit more practice and training would help. But like this? Someone’s gonna get nabbed!
Some people have been voicing concern over Felicity pressuring Nicole into doing something that is clearly wrong. While I agree in concept, don’t get hung up on that aspect. We’ve known almost since we met Felicity that she’s been in and out of jail, had a hard life, etc. Now we’re seeing it. We’ve also seen the importance for Felicity of having good friends that can help her. Perhaps if she and Nicole had stayed together, she might have refrained from extensive thieving altogether. Yes, she’s doing something wrong, but don’t cast her out for it. Help her.
