Page 819…
Hi all…
Thanks for all the kind words regarding these pages. I’m sorry for all the “cuteness overload” I really am.
I think today’s the “worst” of it. So hang in there.
🙂
Some fun things…
Derek continues to WOW me with his amazing lunchbags he does every day for his kids.
I’m a HUGE Zoolander fan. So yesterday’s Mugatu was an instant favorite.
Click the picture to see more.
And we have a few more books out.
Hyperactive and My Grandparents are Secret Agents are in stores.
Lori Henderson from the School Library Journal was kind enough to mention them on her site.

Check them out if you have some kids 5-10 you think would like some fun stories.
You can also go over to the IDW store (click STORE at the top of this page) or your local book store.
I’ll end the “pimpin'” now and let you guys get back to reading.
🙂
Thanks all….and have a great day.
Scott
Hm. I went back today and read what Felicity told Paddington about her friend. She said that her friend started coming less frequently. I’m betting that the ‘they’ that Nicole is referring to is a string of therapists.
Uber Cuteness. Great back pages, however. And they are adorable. You need to have all of the characters produced as kid figs.
cute overload indeed, but i like, the smooches thing really puts the icing on the cake..
but does this mean nicole really have thieving experience?
maybe she’ll steal alex’s necklace? :/
Cuteness overload? I love it! XD
“I’ve been in and out of here since I was a kid. I was orphaned and grew up on the streets. Now the guards throw me in here for sport.” is what Felicity tells Alex when they’re in neighbouring cells. So.. Felicity gets Nicole to try and steal something, Nicole being new to this somehow catches attention, and Felicity being best friend and having promised to protect Nicole, takes the blame instead, and is “taken away”.
How’s that?
But yeah, Limax has a point.
Scott – I just got my boyfriend to read Dreamland Chronicles after a lot of persuasion, and now he’s hooked. The really funny thing about this situation is that the moment he read the first two pages, he exclaimed, “Hey, that’s our story!” For a few years before we started going out, we were best friends, and like best friends sometimes do, we had our own special imaginary pretend that was quite like Dreamland. It was a place that kids from around the world went to when they fell asleep, and there to welcome them with a plate of fresh cookies of every flavour imaginable, was a creature we called the Dreamlandus Cookibakus, or DC. (DC was big, plushy and good-natured, much like Paddington, but he had fur as bushy as squirrels’ tails and 300 tiny needle-sharp teeth.)
When he had to move away for a couple of years, we would imagine that when we fell asleep, we would meet in Dreamland or DC-land, as it were, and have chocolate-orange-walnut cookies and coconut sundae. We still visit there sometimes 🙂
I think I got cavities from the smooches panels. My dentist will not be pleased. Great work, Scott! BTW I noticed you will be at Dragon Con and I am planning on going too. I look forward to saying hello!
Yeah, I had a neighbor childhood bgf(best girl friend) then she wanted we be a couple (13yo) but my boy hormones hadnt developed so i blew it. The End.
I like cuteness. Yes, I am a guy. I still like cuteness. Plus, to quote a previous poster, who stated what I was thinking as a second possibility for “they,” which the more I think on it, the more it seems likely, “I’m betting that the ‘they’ that Nicole is referring to is a string of therapists.”
Gotta say that was the one chance “lifetime of love” thing.
*ggg* Cute. And I DO like it too. 🙂 So no warning needed.
Wait…Nicole…learn how to be a thief…
Is something going to add up there?
=^-^=
yeah it was me to first delve the idea of the shrinks taking it away.

probably the parents took her to a shrink and they convinced her that it all wasnt real, thus “taking†it away from her….
darnit man im addicted to this comic, imma definitely buy the book….when it comes out.
or if ya wanna read all of it yourself heres the link
http://thedreamlandchronicles.com/?p=1186
also the “they” she might be talking about could be the guards….but im goin for the shrinks takin dreamland away from her.
forgot to put quotes…my post on the 19th ended after talkin about buying the book when it comes out.
love it. sooooo. cute. Scott you are the best.
And when you think NOW it can’t POSSIBLY get any better…
Don’t apologize, Scott! Cute pages rock! ^_^
I’ll be picking up both of those books! I know that Ed’s Terrestrials and Pet Robots have been lifesavers for me. I work in an office and often get kids with their parents, the younger kids love blocks, but the older ones need something more their age. Your books have been exactly what I needed. I know they’re clean and the kids love them.
I want smooches from Felicity….
🙂
Good morning all.
Thanks mynahbird. So glad your BF likes Dreamland. Thanks for showing him.
Dannie. Where did you see that I was going to Dragon Con? I’m not. Sorry.
Schnerples… Thanks so much. I love to hear that kids enjoy the books. Thank you.
the “they” can’t be anyone from dreamland because Nicole was convinced that Dreamland didn’t even exist. the “they” she refers to must be someone from our world, her parents, school teachers, or shrinks, just to name a few. I’m betting on a little of each.
she was probably having trouble in school, maybe even stealing stuff from other students, and her teachers told her parents. When her parents confronted Nicole, she told them about Felicity and Dreamland. After failing to convince Nicole that dreamland wasn’t real, her parents made her see a shrink… maybe several. Nicole tried to fight it off at first, but as she grew older she bought into the treatments more and more, and eventually forgot all about Dreamland and Fel.
at least thats the way i see it 😛
Aww too bad…must have been wishful thinking LOL
I’m on a raft, floating on a sea of cuteness…
As far as the eye can see…
So nice to look at, but sadly…
The smooches are not for me…
Great page, Scott!
ha ha. Thanks RG.
/me paralized from cute-overload!
😀
No reason to appologize. Keep the cuteness coming for as long as you want, Scott!
Oh my….I love the second panel, so much cuteness! Can`t stand it!! 😀
that last panel looks like a smooth faced granny LoL. I wander, if Nicole tried some these “tricks of the trade” while awake as a kid. hmmm, makes me think of all those cleptomaniac kids out there who try to sneak things out of stores.
-squeals-
ADORABLE! 😀
I don’t comment, like, ever, but I keep up with the comic mostly regularly. ^_^ I love it, and these last couple pages are just so giggly-cute I had to say something. It rocks.
Dude. You just totally gave me an intro to introduce this to my family – there’s been this ongoing cuteness joke… And you may have just won. 😀
If I had to guess, the ‘they’ from last strip were her folks and the teachers, writing something like that poem for a school assignment can land you in dangerous water if your teacher was wanting something about your ‘real life’ friend. I should know, a particular bit of fiction back in middle school (Ya, it took them that long to track me down! But I tells ya! I’m still running! Bwahahaha!) had cast a spotlight on me, and when pressed I simply said, ‘But…they are real.’ That didn’t earn me any nice looks ^_^
So in the end I gave in, told them what they wanted to hear so they would let me be, that never stopped the adventures though, my pen keeps moving when the lads and lasses tell me to, everything else gets to stay in my head, after all, not all the adventures you have with your friends are for telling, ya?
They quote I had wanted for my highschool yearbook was one they made me change. “Every day, at least once, I try and fly. I have to, the one time I don’t will be the time it works.”
No, Darkwolf, I think first she lost Felicity to “them”, and then she repressed the memory. That way they could still be from Dreamland. Remember, she didn’t even want to admit her childhood dream for a pony.
haha. smoochies. LOL!
SMOOCHES omg too cute.
I knew it! I sensed smooches!
SMOOCHES!!! ^O^
Arrr I can’t resist this:
Snoochie Boochies!!!
*I’m sorry*
theyre ADORABLE!!!!
And now it’s gone.
