Page 770…
Tomorrow…I promise you’ll see what’s been drawn in the book.
I promise.
ย
I just got a link to an interview I did for Comixtalk today…
Go check it out.
ย
Other than that…Donna’s back home. All the boys are happy to have her back.
๐
Still…we had a great “boy’s weekend” filled with pizza, popcorn, video games, and movies.
Tomorrow…on top of posting a new page…I’ll be revealing the new store with new things.
So exciting.
ย
Thank you all for reading.
Scott
ย PS. I think I might have fixed the Daylight Savings problem. So while this post technically posted at 11pmย CSTย tonight…the other posts HOPEFULLY will go up at midnight CST from now on.
Hmph! So she’s an art critic now… LOL, it appears that she’s shooting down Alex’s point before he even makes it! (It is so annoying when that happens…)
Hey, I really enjoyed reading the interview you had with comixtalk, Scott. Hmmmm… Heroes Con in Charlotte? Hopefully I can make it to the one next year.
Like a mouse or an orangutan? … Mmm…
So, I’m officially in love with Alex’s expression in the third and fourth panels.
Mouse or orangutan? Orange? Tail? Ears? Felicity? :3
I’m gonna be a refresh-monkey tomorrow midnight. I’ll try not to break your server, Scott.
man, I think this is the only webcomic I know that can stretch out storylines too near annoying limits…but I can’t stop reading ๐
I’m giggling that they’re both acting like they’re eleven. ๐ Man… they love to fight.
I can’t wait, I can’t wait….
The point BEING that just MAYBE she used to go to Dreamland too! ๐
Well, we now now it is a person and not a place.
Ok, true…so it can still be Paddington.
But uran utan suggest orange.
Felicity.. most likely yeah.
Ofcourse we will find out tomorrow!
(soap opera deja vu here..tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow).
Fel fel fel Felicity! Whoop!
…Maybe.
Actually, I don’t remember Felicity being amoung Alex’s childhood friends. ๐
Wow, lookit all those nightowls.
nightowls 4 life.
alex acts very childish when someone insultes his drawing, doesn’t he? ๐
keep on the good work scott.
Thanks all…
Again…I’m not writing for daily strips. I’m writing this for the book. So if a page or two extra is needed to have some fun or “stretch things out” I apologize if it’s agonizing. I don’t want you all to think I’m doing it intentionally.
No worries Scott-man !
I know it must be a little aggravating for you to try and juggle the demands of both a daily web-publishing format & schedule with that of a book, but ALWAYS go for the book angle.
Even though the daily fans can be rabid at times … it is only because they LOVE it so much.
And in the end, even the book format works on the web once you get to the point that people are reading the page in the archives versus the “daily fix”.
And I can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on Book 2 from the local Barnes&Nobles …. soon I hope!
Ted
And we’re supposed to just believe that? ๐
Hmm… The picture Ncole is ooking at was done by Alex, not herself. So even if we stick to our “Nicole & Felicity” theory, that’s surely not the topic of this image. Besides, a child’s drawing of an orangutan does not necessarily have to be orange, and Felicity’s body shape does not have much in common with a fat ape.
Alex obviously found tow images, one don by him and the other by Nicole, during their childhoods, way before they ever knew each other, which – in his oppinion – both show the same object, person of creature which they had encountered in Dreamland. Thus proving that the fantasy land of Nicole’s childhood dreams is actually one and the same as “his” Dreamland.
I think most of us are just messing with ya, Scott. No need to be defensive about how you’re stretching out the antici……………………pation. ๐ Keep doing what you need to do!
going back thru….maybe the gummi bears? maybe the fairy people? I’m shooting for gummi bears, cuz they said they take care of the earth kids. That and I like like gummi bears
Thanks all…
Wait…I have gummi bears???
gummi bears? wth?
Read the interview..You are the only other person I know who actually read John Carter of mars..I even have the action figure that came out in the 90’s. Great to know there is another fan.
Hey, Krysium. I read several of the John Carter of Mars Series! I don’t usually make two posts in the same day but it is so cool to find two other people who know about John Carter. Edgar Rice Burroughs did more than just Tarzan, y’know.
As another random plug, I haven’t actually read the Mars series, but recently acquired an old paperback of Carson of Venus. ๐
As to the picture to be compared… I think the theories being tossed around only make me more certain I’ll have to wait and see. *Grrrrr…*
I think Goodytombshoes means the teddy bears from the first chapter.
im pretty sure its Felicity and she’s probably the first friend Nicole met as a child if she traveled to Dreamland …. i think they even hinted that in an earlier issue … lol
Well, I’m guessing that Nicole and Alex have similar drawings, so I’m betting it can’t be Felicity… since Alex didn’t meet her (as far as we know) until he visited Dreamland recently.
if Nicole and Alex have similar drawings doesnt that mean that it IS probably Felicity ? … point proven lol … who says Felicity just didnt live a long time enough to meet both of them or she aged the same way as the other ones and used to be little too lol
Alex has some great expressions here.
Alright, stop it, you two! We know you were kids, and won’t win any fine art awards. Just look at the pictures!
Okay, if I had posted this back when this page first came out, I would have said:
Why couldn’t Alex have met Felicity before, and not remember it? It’s already been established that he’s forgotten a lot from his childhood adventures in Dreamland. (For that matter, he could have met other children, or even Nicole herself, and not remember it.)
Additionally, during his childhood all his friends in Dreamland were also children, with corresponding differences in appearance. It stands to reason, then, that Felicity would also have been a child at about the same time, and probably would have had a less graceful, more kittenish appearance. Thus, a not-so-great child’s drawing of her might very well resemble an orangutan or a mouse.
Now I think I’ll click “Next” and see if I was right …
๐
It’s a known fact in biology and cloning that mouse+orangutang=catgirl. I think that Scott is giving us a pretty big hint.
