Because naturally half-horse people can give flying lessons.
And the ship sails seem to have minds of their own. Most of them are deciding not to billow.
Ok, so it’s more like a clipper than a schooner. Do you know how much people it takes to do up the rigging on a clipper? They have only one person on board who knows how to sail and if Nastajia’s experience was only in a skiff then even she has no idea how to do that.
In Greek myth, many centaurs were rather bestial, dominated by their animal natures. Others, such as Chiron, were known for their learning and their ability to teach and mentor others.
I love how they have three pirate flags. Like they’re saying “we’re pirates.” “Warning: pirates on board this ship.” “Did we mention we’re pirates? No? Because we totally are.”
That floating clipper looks totally like my old lego pirate ship Black Sea Barracuda, what with the sails and all!! I wonder how much that thing would fetch for now… Ah memories..
Oh, and with further time and practice I can safely say… curving a rectangle is NOT “dang hard”.
Compared to the characters in the action scenes, a curved rectangle is ludicrously easy.
They might want to redecorate that ship a little before paying any diplomatic calls…
Or they might forget and it will be just like “Argo” ship.

Did anyone notice that the stars look suspiciously like the constellation Orion?

SandraCassidy, shouldn’t that be the “arrrrrr-go”?
I’m surprised Alex didn’t say “second star to the right, and straight on til the morning”
Alex: “How will he help me regain my ability to fly?”
Nastajia: “Well he has this device called a ‘Trebuchet…'”
rofl!
No Trebuchet needed, though … Paddington is both more effective and more accurate!
😉

Alex had better hope he doesn’t wake before they arrive. I doubt Kiwi could hover for hours waiting to catch him.
ooo orion! i wonder if there is/was a charon in dreamland

I’ve done some 3D modeling and animation. Making a billowing-shape sail is dang hard.
To sven, perhaps because the ship is magical it requires fewer crew members, or the ship just rigs itself and only needs someone to steer it
Also, CENTAURS!! Yay
Too late, I think he might already be going all transparenty
just wat i was about to say
Then why are some of them doing it and some not?
Alex: “Noooo, I don’t think they covered ‘trajectory’ in class; why do you ask…?”
Nastajia: *evil grin*
Some are sails, and alot are flags + banners.

Emphasizes Amulet and not “Felicity stole”… Progress?
those not billowing have holes in them as well.
