Page 818…
Wow. So glad you guys enjoyed seeing Nicole and Felicity as kids as much as I did.
Thank you all for the kind words. I do have to warn you…they keep getting cuter as the pages go. So prepare yourselves…ok?
🙂
A bit of a flashback for me…
I did an interview last year at the NY Comic Con with my buddy Matt who does a weekly podcast called Secret Identity.
Well they FINALLY got around to posting it in their podcast.
You can check it out here.
Warning…there’s some bad language. Not from me…from the guys…before they interview me.
It’s a LONG podcast…so if you’re looking for ME…go to the end. With 16 minutes left…and you’ll hear me.

I had fun talking about my comics as well as my kids.

Thanks for reading and I hope you continue to enjoy these pages.

I’m going to be waiting for the other shoe to drop. I’d scrunch my eyes, but then I wouldn’t be able to read the comic….
oh so cute… and so deadly.. it burns the eyes!! GAAHH!! *grabs sunglasses* ok. i’m cool now… yeah… XD… just wondering who “they” is… though probably good old nic… and not the one that travels by sliegh…
I just love Nicole’s expression in that third panel – too totally cute!
Okay, as I said, they are cute. On a sidenote, why is Nicole’s shirt have two eighth notes on it?
awww, they are soo little and cute. I adore Nicole, in this version too.
wowsie, my first comment after months of lurking XD
Too cute for words!! I agree LydaLynn Nicole’s expression is adorable.
This is AWESOME !!!
I like Felicity’s face in the first panel. The “well, duh” look suits her and just makes her all the more cute.
Felicity is already very much herself. But Nicole, while smart, does feel very very different from her current self. Whichever side (dream or real) “They” happen to be from, they did a terrible thing. :'(
LOOKIT ALL THIS CUTE-TIVITY GOIN’ ON ‘ROUND HERE!!
Good one, Scott!
I fail to see how it is possible that anything can be cuter than the very last panel.
Man, your story is amazing… I started reading it the day before yesterday, and I couldnt stop since.. Began from the first page and just reached this one…
Cant wait for next pages =)
Keep up all the work, you sure have a gift for this…
I think I am getting the whole “taken away” part now. These dream guys are supposed to be helping these kids and she is telling Nicole to steal.
I just started reading this yesterday night and I’m already finished. It’s really addictive, and a lot different than the other web comics I read [[questionable content, anders love maria, and girls with slingshots are my favorites]] I can’t wait to keep reading.

Yes, this is definitely cuteness… Aw, Felicity is so cute as a kid. And Nicole and Felicity together is so heartwarming. I’m looking forward to reading this…I bet the party crasher is, as duelhearts says, good old dragon Nic.
Thank you all. And welcome new readers.
🙂
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the story.
I want to know what happened to Nicole and Felicity.
I love this comic! I’ve been reading these whole 3 years.
Rhuen, I think you may be onto something there… Dreamland is supposed to be teaching these kids how to be kids, and how to believe in magic and fairy tales and have faith in something that no one else can see… not stealing. (Want to see Felicity’s expression in frame 1 on a t-shirt! lol)
Dude, I’m diabetic enough with the cuteness, LOL. Nicole was right she shouldn’t steal even in a dream. The look on her face as she fight’s the right / wrong emotions is priceless.
they are soooooo adoooooooorable…oh wait i just sounded so chicklike….
it’s always the cutest eyes that bring mischief…
like.. I’m sure thats a rule somewhere 😮
I have a sick feeling that fourth panel will come back to bite Nicole in the rear, but I’m still gushing at all the cuteness and my cat is getting offended.
Nicole needs to shrink herself from the neck down; maybe then she’d be less grouchy.
wow baby felicity has some very… expresive expresions.
…Cuter? They get CUTER?
Nu-uh. Refuse to believe. They’re about as cute as possible here! Different to how the other kids in Dreamland are portrayed, but it works.
I wonder what happens. Everyone’s talking about “they”, who they are, what awful thing they did because of how it changed Nicole- but I’m not so sure it’s something huge. A small thing can have a huge affect on someone, especially children; it could be as simple as Felicity getting caught. I’m more concerned about the way Nicole blanked it out of her memory- that’s what makes me think it’s something more.
Looking forward to seeing where it goes from here!
I’m fairly certain I remember reading something in Felicity’s introduction scene – she says she was caught for some small offense and the guards have been after her several times since. Will go back and look for it, unless someone else (one of the new readers, maybe?) remembers exactly what it was..
Felicity has just that touch of exasperation with Nicole in panel one, like she’s thinking, “Yeah, right! Like that’s a problem!”
Oh Em Gee. WAAAAAAAAAAAY too cute. LOVE THEM
Heh. You can really see the Felicity we know in Panel one.
Why are people saying Dreamland is supposed to be teaching kids? The two worlds just kinda coexist, its not like either was created to provide a service.
Oh my god! This is so adorable! I wasn’t sure about investing the time in reading the archive up to now, but this is so adorable, it justifies everything!
Is it? What evidence do we have that Dreamlands was created for such a purpose? Or any specific purpose? It’s just there, like our world. It probably has its fair share of unfortunate events (such as an evil dragon overlord), just as we do on Earth. Given the tone of this story, it’s natural that there would be a focus on the good things. By that same token, a child-friendly story set on earth would similarly exclude certain negative things. This whole ‘caring for the humans here’ thing in Dreamlands seems to me like a cultural practice that the Dreamlanders do, ROUGHLY like how many human cultures care for various animals as pets. [However, the requirement for a human king (or presumably queen) complicates this; I would conclude that it is just a tradition, not a metaphysical requirement; after all, it’s not like Dreamlands has warped more than socially since Nicodemus took over.] Felicity is young here and clearly lacking a parental model, so any taboos against getting human children in trouble may not have been ingrained in her.
