Ouch, the hunter, that question strangely made me feel very old before my time. 😉 Princess Bride is the movie. One of the best adventure/fantasy/romance/comedies ever made. Cult classic. Rent it, own it, live it. ~laugh~
I’m going to be honest. I love Princess Bride. I love re-watching it, even now. But I’m not sure how much someone, seeing it for the first time, will appreciate it, if that someone happens to be over the age of 8.
Well, to keep it going – None of you should feel old. I’m 17 and know what they are from. Watched the movie over and over again, and read the book even more. 🙂 I didn’t really consider it to be an old movie… but I suppose that is because I enjoy some very old movies.
I didn’t start feeling old until everything i grew up with is now back ‘new and improved’!! ie: Carebears, TMNT… (and rumor has it, NKOTB. Some things should just stay dormant!)
Wow. This is actually the most terrifying page yet. Just those loud shrieks, and the already creepy Dwarf King just drolly declaring, “Do you hear that, Princess?” With only three panels, you managed to make me wet my bed. Shame on you.
… those are the shrieking eels!
Wait, no. Wrong story. 😛
Arrrg! Tavis beat me to it!
Apparently I was not the first to think of the shrieking eels…
Keep in mind they always grow louder when they’re about to feed on human flesh.
Oh Scott, how you spoil us, it is inconceivable!
“Shrieking Eels…?” Is that movie on EVERYONE’S minds?! (including my own.) *lol* 😉
I really like the new backgrounds and lighting here.
Bats? Giant spiders?
Gargoyles! From the battle at the mountain before the crash!
Darnit! My first thought was also ‘Those are the shrieking eels!’
shrieking eels? from what movie?

In response to Trilani – The hunter – should say “As you wish.”
He should only say that if when he says “As you wish”, what he truly is saying is, “I love you.”

If it makes you feel better, Trilani, I’m only 22 and I knew what the shreeking eels are from lol.
You fools! Never go in against a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line!!
Ahahaah-ahahahah-ahahaha!
*thud*
Are you kidding me, Megan? I’m only 21 and I know what the shrieking eels are from. I must’ve watched that movie 100 times. 🙂
“I doubt you’d get such an offer from the eels.”

And you guys thought the chains were creepy?
INCONCIEVABLE!
lol, “those are the shrieking eels!” that’s EXACTLY what I thought, too.
Bognok: “Do you hear that, Princess? As we speak a thousand squeegees are going to work on our windows.”
Why is there a pipe organ behind him?
Hey, the musicians always have the king’s Bach.
Princess bride was the first thing that came to my mind too…
