You can never prove the Faith the way you can, say, the existence of the Higgs boson. But if you’re willing to settle for decent historical evidence, N.T Wright’s “The New Testament and the People of God” series is a good place to start. More accessibly (and less pricily), theoretical physicist Aron Wall’s blog “Undivided Looking” has some good material on the relationship between Science and Religion – and it’s an excellent resource for knowledge about modern physics too. Philosopher Ed Feser’s blog has some good stuff on the limits of science and the flaws of the scientistic world view.
I mean, these “why do you believe me” sequences ARE obviously a heavy-handed metaphor for the nature of religious epistemology, right? I’m not imagining the anvilliciousness?
If I’m reading into things, sorry for the reading list, I guess?
Hope he took off the sword necklace. . . .
His brother should try it on!
thats what I was thinking, he said his brother never dreams also……
or he could go find a girl friend in dream land I mean its like an online dating thing
I rather have a dream lover than an online date. At least in the dreams it will feel real when we touch and kiss.
And dream girl/ guy is less likely to be a complete pscho… yes 🙂
About that “connection that proves it all.”
