LOL, I’m sure it wasn’t meant to be taken this way but I read panels 3 and 4 as
Nicole: My true love and best friend
Dan: *damn cat grumble grumble*
Nicole: I love you both
Dan: *Oh me! she means me!*
So Felicity is her true love and Dan just got friend zoned… HARD!
I think that is *exactly* how it was intended.
I think Dan was still upset with how Felicity said he was boring, then suggested that Nicole skip the Coronation ceremony. I have a feeling that Dan could have a lot of troubles with Felicity in the future.
Dan seems to act based on rules and guidelines and responsibilities (a good thing in a ruler), and Felicity seems to dislike the very idea of those things existing, much less applying to her.
Yeah, well, she comes by it honestly. She’s got Cat-itude. =)

Dan definitely felt left out in the middle two panels. Good save in the final panel.
I spotted just one change in the facial expressions of the background characters. 🙂
As in, where Nastajia’s expression changed to ‘Awwww’ in the last panel?
That’s how I was reading it. Though, Dan needs to get that stick out of his bum-hole. I’m sure it’s painful and he’ll feel much better when he does so.
