That’s what I was getting at. He may be something of a brute, but I think he’s pretty shrewd as well!
I smell an elven-dwarven agreement that might slightly advantage the Dwarves.
But I’m betting he is taking a pause to think up a properly gallant reply, regretting the past issues between the Dwarves and the Elves and declaring them a much stronger aliance… and pledging such so long as he can hold a hammer. Dwarves seldom accept friends, and hold them dearly when they find them.
Bognok: “Stop… your going to give me the feels”
Yeah, he does look a little sheepish. =)
I was actually thinking more on the lines of “sound of dwarven gears grinding together” 😀
“Hmm, how can I use this to my advantage….”
Bognok is at a loss for words.
“Stop being humble! You’re throwing me off my groove.”
The poor guy is so unused to genuine gratitude he’s totally confused.
Oh, Bognok. It saddens me somewhat that I’ve never gotten used to your size.
I shudder to think of how your successor will be grown to an approximate size.

I was surprised at the size of him when I first saw him. I am used to dwarves being a short race in the D&D rpg.
I think it is more to do with http://thedreamlandchronicles.com/comic/page-690/
“Ugh, how can I end this life-debt the elves have placed themselves in? My brother will NEVER let me hear the end of this!”
Yeah, I’m getting a strong, King of the Dwarven vibe of:
“Hmmmm, she’s forever in my debt eh? And I’m needing a few more ships and ale brewig tanks…”
Aggreed Caffinator. He didn’t become King of Dwarves by giving away gold pieces.

Wolf has it right, y’all. That’s the discomforted look of guilt and shame showing there. Follow the link in Wolf’s comment.
