Somehow I think putting the king of the merfolk in a public fountain seems offensive to him. XD
But I guess the alternative of putting him in a giant fish bowl would be too comedic — even if it was a fancy ambassadorial fish bowl like a Guild navigator in Dune.
I think that King Proteus meant Insolence or Impudence, not Infamy. Infamy is your horrible reputation, it’s something you have, not something you speak. Insolence is rude and disrespectful behavior and Impudence is characterized by impertinence or effrontery. Loving the strip. Been addicted for years.
Kids can fly with the dreamland creatures, also with mermaids http://thedreamlandchronicles.com/comic/page-66/
At that page, the kids do not have tails, so they’re not swimming, they’re flying with the merpeople
It is cool to see these people from earlier in the comic drawn instead of CGed.
I loved the CG. It was part of what made the Dreamland Chronicles unique and cool.
But I love the new look too. Tracy does good work. 🙂

Wonder what would happen if someone brought a laser pointer into dreamland…
Did the king of the merfolk appear in the early CG issues?
Yup. Alex and company paid them a visit.
Obviously old drinking buddies. I expect a ‘fish face’ reference, followed by much back-slapping.
CHAOS!

soooo…. how did they GET in the fountain?
great job on the water, Tracy!
Please tell me the teddies will be here too!
Ya totally. It’s cool seeing them in both forms.
Yes, every party must have the teddies, I think it is a rule somewhere. 🙂
BAHAHAHAHA!!! Mer-snark! 🙂

Panel 3 – When did Finn become a merman? 😉
My thoughts exactly.
The King’s got a great “u wot m8” look on his face though!
