It’s like having a son living overseas. Back before we had phones, Skype, and the internet.
It is at this moment, more than any other, that I am happy this is a kid’s story (and near the end). Too many stories these days, not aimed at kids, would have something tragic happen after a statement like that.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this tale, and I’m curious to see how it wraps up, even though I’ll miss its updates after it does. If Merlin weren’t gone, I’d wonder if they would try to make the wristbands, to let Alex see his parents and Nicole see Felicity.
Also, can you get another cat person if you mix half a tiger cracker with half a human cracker?
I still think they can fit some small “spy” camera into that … did they tried? Of course, still not face-to-face, but …
There are still places on Earth where they don’t have phones and internet.
The film looks AMAZING! super impressed and wishing you all the success! I do wonder if they might run out of animal crackers in that box, but I guess I’ll just have to watch and find out…
Dan and Nicole should discuss about Alex for a bit on the drive back to school.
Meanwhile in Dreamland,Nastajia should ask Alex this question; “Alexander did you give up your life on your world just for me?”
How should Alex answer that question?
Oh Dan, don’t you realize it yet? That means all of her apples are in one basket–yours. You should at least give her a big hug. She needs one right now.
Mom, Alex has rubbed off on him too much. Grab Dan and hug him before he leaves.
He had to say that, didn’t he? Man, I have alarm bells going off in my head.
I just saw the animal crackers trailer, it seem that the original story has been changed. The dad doesn’t discover the “crackers” accidentally on the garage anymore, but they are offered by clowns. I find this less exciting. Also, it seems that the story is restricted to a circus, so less surprises.

The original short was just a “test” and the garage was because we had no budget.

In the film, though, the clowns do NOT offer it to Owen and the story is NOT restricted to the circus. I promise.
If only falling asleep in Dreamland could allow you to visit the other world.

Seriously though…this would suck so bad for a mom!
I know! It’s brutal! One day when Dan has children of his own, he’ll realize how easily he blew his mom’s feelings off and the pain she will suffer forever.
It’s really not. Because that son can always come back and visit.
I know this is for kids and kids mostly wouldn’t have any idea what mom is going through, but Dan’s reaction is really out of character. She will literally never see her son again, never touch him, never hear his voice. I also understand that adventures have casualties. I just wish the story were giving this loss more due. It’s pretty horrific.
I don’t know about that…after all, as King Dan will be allowed to continue to visit Dreamland as an adult until he passes on the sword to a successor, while (presumably) his children will be able to join him there on a nightly basis.
He may not experience how his mother feels until his children are grown, at which point he may have already (though I doubt it) passed along the sword to the next king/queen.

Thanks for you reply. I wish a big success to the film, and also to the company “blue dream studio”.
I think some of you are forgetting this is weeks later. Dan isn’t really blowing her off and her reaction wasn’t actually seen. She’s had time to calm down. Yeah, it’s hard but she’s not just getting the news. She’s just still trying to wrap her mind around everything.
I took a look at the link..is the ringmaster the Monopoly Guy’s brother? LOL
Ah, but who says it is forever? You never know, Alex could find a way to come back or, heck, his mom’s desire to see him could let her cross over to Dreamland.
After seeing that trailer, I can honestly say this is the one movie this year I am truly excited to see. Scott, you’ve done an amazing job with it so far, can’t wait to see the full movie.
For years, I have been absolutely swept away with your storytelling and world building in this comic, so I am very excited for the movie. The trailer looks like great fun and what great cast you have as well! I even saw Twilight Sparkles human in there! ? Good luck and thank you for sharing your talent with the world!
