Thank goodness for arrogant villians.
“Yes, Boy-King, tis a shame only one of you has a sword that is effective again my earth form and the other only has a sword effective against my dream form. NOTHING CAN GO WRONG MWAHAHAHAHA!”
Gil, you are one of the DUMBEST super-villains around! Not only are your plans for conquest so bad that ALEX can stop them, you just told his much smarter brother how to defeat you! How did you EVER become king???
Well, Gilgamesh lived way before every other villain that fell for that, so it’s totally in line with every villain trope we’ve ever witnessed.
Expect “No! It cannot be! I’m invincible!” to be his last words, too.
So, if a Dreamland Sword is useless against his human form, how is it that Dreamland creatures are able to attack Alex and vice versa….since that’s his “human form” too?
“…And that’s how you defeat me.”
Yeah. Either his brilliant mind has gone stale in the millenia, or he’s giving them a false target. I mean, if he has a way to deal with a simultaneous strike with both swords, then he now knows what his opponents will attempt.
Welp, that just kind of spelt it all out for us…
Either use both swords (dream body can have super human powers, thus the size and weight of the swords wouldn’t be an issue) or both attack at the same time.
Brother attack combo? 😉
And now all i can think of is this scene
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO52TTcPFOU
… still I would prefer “Sneak attack, B1tch!” more 😀
– when somebody talks about switching bodies at will, they calls for exactly that 8)
In Egon Spengler’s voice: I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways. We could reverse the particle flow through his changing forms.
How?
We’ll cross the swords.
He… totally just explained his own bossbattle strategy, did he?
Arrogant villains will always do the famous monologue.
But the question is – Who will get the killing blow?
Or maybe how many at the same time?
It would seem that Gil would be impossible to beat…or not?!?
Now you’ve done it Gil. You have just monologue the way to finish you. Two kings, two swords, one dead dreamer.
Two words: Dual Wielding.
Thank goodness for arrogant villians.
“Yes, Boy-King, tis a shame only one of you has a sword that is effective again my earth form and the other only has a sword effective against my dream form. NOTHING CAN GO WRONG MWAHAHAHAHA!”
Nah, X-Strike. (Chrono Trigger reference).
One earth sword (Excalibur), one Dreamland Sword (Sword of Kings).
Hmmm…..
Gil, you are one of the DUMBEST super-villains around! Not only are your plans for conquest so bad that ALEX can stop them, you just told his much smarter brother how to defeat you! How did you EVER become king???
(pounds head on desk)
Man, even Scott figured out the flaw in his plan! 😉
Well it’s hardly fair if the boss doesn’t provide a hint of how to defeat him to the hero(es). That’s basically Boss Fight Design 101
That’s what he gets for not having an internet to look up what Boss Monsters should not do.
Very few villains are THIS clear about it.
I was reminded of this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZXwQIIXNUQ
Wonder Twin Powers Activate!
Duel Wielding For The Win!
I picture the Cross-Thrust move from “Tales of Symphonia.”
Well, Gilgamesh lived way before every other villain that fell for that, so it’s totally in line with every villain trope we’ve ever witnessed.
Expect “No! It cannot be! I’m invincible!” to be his last words, too.
Looks like it’s going to take a team effort amongst brothers. Awesome. Truly an epic showdown.
Daniel: “Form of… God-Mode Dan!”
Alex: “Shape of… Just This Guy, You Know?”
So, if a Dreamland Sword is useless against his human form, how is it that Dreamland creatures are able to attack Alex and vice versa….since that’s his “human form” too?
So, like having Skeletor’s sword and He-Man’s sword?!
self confident.
cocky.
lazy.
dead.
There gunna be one dead Gilgamesh.
“argh! Inconceivable! This can not be! I am Gi… urks”
famous last words.
“…And that’s how you defeat me.”
Yeah. Either his brilliant mind has gone stale in the millenia, or he’s giving them a false target. I mean, if he has a way to deal with a simultaneous strike with both swords, then he now knows what his opponents will attempt.
PLOT HOLE!!! shhhhh……..
>_>
Well, that is fairly consistent with the original TV show.
Female twin: Form of… Giant immoral fire-breathing kaiju
Male twin: Shape of… a damp sponge
Welp, that just kind of spelt it all out for us…
