Interesting. I thought he needed the magic plant to wake up. If he can do it simply by draining the children, why has he waited thousands of years until this moment?
I believe the children was his long term plan to sustain him. Now by draining his supply so fast he might be able to be awake, but it is a short term plan. The plant would’ve allowed him to live longer without being dependant on the nightmares/essence of children
I love how the last chapter of this story is basically geriatrics have gone off their meds and are on the warpath. The final moral of the story is don’t put your grandparents where you can’t keep tabs on them or they’ll come back with a vengeance.
I used to support putting them out on ice floes for the polar bears. Times change; now the supply of aged has increased, and the amount of ice and number of bears is no longer sufficient to dispose of them.
Quick, Dan! While he’s busy monologing, striking a significant Jack Kirby pose, and being dramatic! Run him through with the Sword of Kings and put us out of his misery.
Uh Oh!
MUAD’DIB! MUAD’DIB! MUAD’DIB! MUAD’DIB!

And I mean that in the nicest possible way. 🙂

The Dreamer has awoken! King Daniel needs to get his act together to defeat him!!!
Quick, Dan! While he’s busy monologing, striking a significant Jack Kirby pose, and being dramatic! Run him through with the Sword of Kings and put us out of his misery.
According to Lewis Carroll, this means that Dreamland has ceased to exist!
“Maybe you should put some shorts on or something! …. if you want to keep being evil today.”
So, not so much dreaming any more.
When the Dreamer hulks out, you know it’s about to get interesting.
just what I thought too!
Dang. You beat me too it.
Yes! Jack Kirby this guy before he turns into some Liefeldian abomination!
“put us out of his misery” hehehehe…..
*upvote* for Mystery Men ref
I don’t know. He put some muscles on, but his hair is still white.
Kick ’em in the Nards!!!
Are you implying that Dreamland is solely made up by Gilgamesh’s imagination?
Shhh just got real.
Damn, did he just bulk up. Poor kids!
”DAMN YOU, KIDS. GET OFF MY LAWN!!!”
Charlie… I feel ya.
Woo! I’m rooting for Gilgamesh!
Darnit, I *knew* Merlin was leaving too soon!
And his nose is still oddly skeletal.
“I have the power!”
I had to think of this:

Sleeper! Sleeper awake, oh you sleeper!
Open your mind, hear me, sleeper!
Sleeper awake, come alive!
Our spirits, they can never die!
Also probably means we’re fixing to flip to another setting. It always seems to happen right when things are winding up. Keeps the tension high. =)
Wow! Thanks for posting this. I didn’t know this band and now I really like them! 🙂
I was thinking more of something like this:

Good morning, sunshine!
Uh… What’s this? Gotten up on the wrong foot?
