If you can make it a magically bound contract where either he’s magically prevented from doing evil (including evil plotting) or any act of evil (including plotting to circumvent the contract) magically revokes his immortality…. That would make for a clever treaty.
I don’t think that’s going to be the case though. I’ve been wrong before so I guess we’ll find out next week.
I’m thinking… I really don’t fancy those terms. I, however, prefer to give the plant to the dragon here, then being impervious to your designs, let his clean up and all our troubles as well as disagreements will be moot!
Well, SO FAR everything he’s said is true. He doesn’t literally have the plant with him (unless there’s some in the Dream Pouch), but it’s at his place and Niviene probably is guarding it. The offer of a truce MIGHT be a deception, but we’ll have to see. This being Danial, I’m sure he’s got a plan so cunning you could brush your teeth with it (Black Adder reference), but we’ll see.
Daniel’s face in the last panel makes me think of Westley. “Where is the poison? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both drink, and find out who is right and who is dead.”
I can certainly see Abadon try to take it by force, coercion or some other means he’s more familiar with, but Dan’s smile makes me think he’s allowed for that possibility. So looking forward to Monday’s page!
Go for Option b! Kick his Elderly ass! And then mop the floor!
His smirk could not be any bigger!
ok, he is lying.
Anticipation of setting the hook, no doubt.
meanwhile our favourite dragon is lying there thinking ‘*ugh* don’t mind me. I’m just dying here, Thank you.’
How will this truce last? Hope that Nicodemus has no plans to double cross Daniel…!
If I give you what you need to live forever, you PROMISE to be good for all eternity?
