I don’t know why, but in the second panel the little girl holding out her hand and the dwarf looking at her cracks me up.
Girl: Hi Mr. Dwarf!
Dwark: Small child…
I have the feeling that the Dwarves are going to complain about being “left out” of the “fun”. I mean, even if it isn’t shown in the story, I feel like there are going to be grumblings off-stage.
This is good, because they need a meatshield. Alex has suddenly become a lot more squishy, and Bognok has certainly proven to be a very durable individual.
I wonder if one of the children will mention that the pirates had beer and booze. While the pirate ship is destroyed, the presence of ale in the Nightmare Realm might change the plan. (And the children will vanish when they wake up.)
I wonder if Dan is planning to retrieve Alex’s armor when he appears back in the Nightmare Realm. He can then fly to Alex to give him the armor back. With the armor and Excalibur Alex would be well equipped, especially if the sheath is flown back to him. Or the Guardians could return with armor for Alex.
While the children would vanish when waking up, when they go back to sleep they will be in the same place they were before. Getting that place to be a safe space is very important.
I don’t think Dan knows where Alex is, other than being in Dreamland. Last he knew, he went into a portal that then exploded, that leads to a mermaid’s cave far from where he now is.
Alex, on the other hand, knows where the armor is, so he could potentially try to get it, if it isn’t too far away. I imagine at some point, that he will retrieve it, but the question is how much he does before then.
Meanwhile, the human children head for the dwarf realms as the dwarf king stays behind…!
Can’t wait to see where this is going…! :O

He knows his priorities.

Yeah, but I have a bad feeling about this.

NOT WHEN THERE’S A FIGHT BREWING!!!
YAAA!!! My kind of character!!!

And this is why he is king… he leveled up far beyond the other Dwarves from hoarding experience points. 😀
