The true extent of the dedication and worship of cats in Egyptian society? This should be interesting. I have a sick feeling I’ll be eating turkey that I’m watering with my tears.
Or it’s just CPR, but they’re calling it magic because they don’t know how it works. Now there’s a plot twist. And it would explain why they need somebody the same size as Felicity.
I wonder if this is the prince and he is going to pull a Wonder Woman (when she disguised herself to compete for the right to go to the outside world).
Honestly, for Felicity? I would much rather die myself than just watch someone so precious and unique to just wither away to something so vile as wraith venom.
To me the 3D version just lacked any real emotion. Everything felt stiff and plastic. In these pages thing’s feel to have live, motion, expressions that were limited by the 3D art style. I came to this comic for the story, and felt the 3D part of it was just more of an eyesore. Like Barbi ball sets.
It’s definitely one of the better – or at the very least, tightly written – ones out there; you just need to understand the network kerfluffle that explains the 4th and 5th seasons (It was written for 5 seasons, they were told they were only getting four so had to hurry and compress/rewrite the ending into the 4th season. Then, somewhere in that year they were told they could have their 5th – so had to come up with a lot of filler for season 5)
If the change was a choice, that’d be one thing. But for it to come about the way it did, is extremely sad. Imagine that a great work of art, started in fine oil painting techniques, had its finishing touches applied with crayons, not as an artistic choice, but simply because all the brushes broke.
Farscape will always be my favorite though and I do really like Stargate. 😛 I also sort of want to watch Lexx, found a discount version at the local store. But then I have a wall of anime to get through. sigh. me and my obsession with obscure stories. 😛
You really don’t realize how superficial your comment makes you sound, do you?
Hell, I for one am just real bloody glad that this story’s finally continued, after so many long years of silence. Not a whole lot of webcomics can manage that, after having been gone down under for so long.
So yeah, I don’t give a crap about the art style changing. I just want some goddamn closure because I always loved this comic for the story, not for how it looked.
Just because you don’t like my stance, doesn’t make how I feel about it invalid or “superficial”. While the closure is nice, it’s still sad that Dreamland came all this way to end up finished like this. My example above is completely valid for expressing how I view the change. You don’t like it my view point? Too bad. You’re entitled to your *opinion* but don’t think for a moment it is superior in any way.

I think that is the fellow that flew Felicity back.
It occurs to me that the lot of them could take turns, each stopping when their lifeforce gets low.
Unless breaking the link before she is fully healed would kill both of them…

I was thinking the same thing as Bill Keyes but I think LazerWulf has a very good counterpoint as to why they couldn’t.
maybe, but that would be too easy.
Most likely.
Somebody get that man a red shirt.
If that’s the one she fancied, the one who was teasing her, she’s going to have a bittersweet recovery, I think.
Shades of Marcus/Ivanova there.
You just HAD to mention Marcus/Ivanova. Now I’m going to be sad all day. *sniff*
Kiwi is much more attractive as a cartoon than as a 3D model. In fact… they all are. Honestly I’d just redo the older chapters in this style.
Isn’t she their Goddess, the last of her kind and the only one who can read the tablet? I’m surprised there aren’t more volunteers…
No way. The 3D models are a huge part of what made Dreamland unique. It’s just a standard webcomic now, which is really sad.
I wonder if this is the prince and he is going to pull a Wonder Woman (when she disguised herself to compete for the right to go to the outside world).
Do Faeiries age slower than other races? Isn’t Kiwi the same age as Nastajia and Alex, who are university age?
It had the same effect on me.
Oh man, that got me good; I burst out laughing.
In all seriousness…that’s straight-up heroic.
Pffft. One does not appreciate the original ground roots, and the other does not appreciate change. You’re both dumb, that’s my opinion! 😛
At least someone here gets it!
Honestly, for Felicity? I would much rather die myself than just watch someone so precious and unique to just wither away to something so vile as wraith venom.
And that is even *without* the prospect of her destruction meaning the destruction of Dreamland.
Damn straight. No self-respecting son or daughter of Egypt should let her die!

I suppose there’s no variation of the spell that would allow multiple people to link up together and share breath as a single whole… maybe?
Dammit now there’s another Sci-Fi I need to look up and watch.
I whole heartedly agree with you. 🙂
Ya, seriously, I would think there would be more then just one.

Damn, studious always ruin series. *cough*sliders*cough* ……..
