Well… there’s Alex’s armor lying on the ground and no Alex in sight, or seeing Dan and realizing that means no more Alex in Dreamland. I’d call those pretty horrifying.
Naaa – she will find the portal to earth including some objects from her parents, will jump through to find them and find herself on Earth.
Together with Alex and her parents, they fight the Dreamer on Earth down to a difficult decision where Alex and she must decide – just before destroying the portal – whether to go down through the portal to Dreamland, remain on Earth, or be separated forever.
I don’t think she has reached the dreamer’s chamber. The lighting there is blue. In the second panel, it is evident that she is approaching a source of light and, as has been noted, seems to have found it.
IIRC, most Dreamlanders can only fly when with their dreaming friends. So when she was with Alex, who was dreaming and could fly because he’s dreaming, she could fly. But not on her own.
Personally I’m not sure that “going deeper into the belly of the beast” is an unwise tactic. As I see, she has 3 options:
1) Stay where she was, never find anything that could be helpful, likely get found by the Hydra or some other beast in the area.
2) Go another direction, assuming there was another direction to go, possibly find greater horrors or possibly find an ally, useful info, tools, a way out….
3) Go the direction she is going, possibly find greater horrors or possibly find an ally, useful info, tools, a way out….
Of those three, I think staying put is the worst of the options because it has the lowest chance of bringing about a good outcome. I’m assuming that option 2 isn’t available, that she’s going down the only path that was available to her.
They leech off of Alex’s ability to fly by simply being in his presence. (Science!) Alex is no longer in Dreamland. She could leech off of Dan’s ability, but I don’t know the distance limitation for the flight ability to work, and she doesn’t know that Alex isn’t around and Dan is. That might interfere with her ability.
I remember the Nightmare Realm was kidnapping the dream personas of human children and we never found out what happened to them. Nas may have just found out.
What horrors indeed?

and Nic is still alive and now besties with Dan.
Her head’s gonna explode!!

My 2 cents 🙂
She is suprised, not shocked, if I’m right…
It could be something ‘new’, also it could be something we’ve seen before?
I wonder what Nastajia is staring at in the last panel, notice the color difference???
Looks like she just found out. Nice going on jinxing yourself girl.
Indeed, one should never ask that kind of question where Murphy can hear you. 😉

Stay tuned!
And why am I narrated ALOUD when there are monsters I’m trying to stealthily avoid? Perhaps for the benefit of the audience? *stares at fourth wall*
Yeah, I was going to say that’s even less smart.
Well, don’t just stand there silently when you’ve been talking to us all this time! 🙂 Inquiring minds want to know!!
Also, pro tip: Never ask what could be worse than what you’ve seen or done. It always means you’re about to see something worse. 😛
Let us hope this doesn’t become a Dreamland version of Captain America Civil War……!
Too soon I spoke…
I keep forgetting the answer to this: Can’t she fly?!?!

I don’t have time to go back through the entire story but I’m almost sure I’ve seen her, Alex and even that rock thing flying independently.

NEVER ask a question like that, Nastasjia.

Hmm, I don’t seem to remember that. Perhaps I need to reread?
You totally called it! Nice work Cap!
And Murphy can ALWAYS hear you …
😉
