I’m tempted to make a snarky comment about the differences from when we last saw Nastajia, but I feel like she may burst through my screen and cut me open.
Looking at the comic I think you can see in panel two and three that she’s used her cape, wrapped it around her waist/chest area and there is some blood on it.
In Page 1820, when we last saw her, she looked quite awful, possibly dead. Now she looks quite OK again, so I guess she was not seriously hurt (or she has amazing healing abilities). She is improvising a new weapon by sharpening the cracked bow, and plotting her next move. I hope Alex finds a way to come to her assistance, he is certainly trying.
Considering how bad she looked when we last saw her, particularly in the CGI version, she looks way too good now. Unless she’s received aid from someone off panel. Otherwise, her recovery looks a touch cheesy.
I’d say she looks pretty crappy. Just look at her eyes (note: not crappy drawn – but in a crappy state of health/being)
Piecing that together it looks like she was unconscious from the fall for quite a while, but then eventually woke to the pleasant surprise of laying in a puddle of her own blood, quite possibly some broken rips, a headache that’d put any menstrual migraine to shame and the clear choice of either biting her teeth together and get herself pulled together somehow, or just closing her eye again and drifting into blissful oblivion.
Now either she’s not the type to choose blissful oblivion, or, she remembered there was something very important to do, or, also possible, after laying there for a few minutes in dazed pain, oblivion just didn’t wanna come to her and it hurt way too much to even find any rest or sleep, so that road started looking just more and more unpleasant.
(Survival instinct has a tendency to become persistent like that)
Either way she obviously used her cape to bandage herself up, and has her wits together enough to do something with her broken bow. To me it looks like she’s sharpening it into a stab-type-weapon. What a shameful fate for an elven bow 🙁
Now the really hard part is still to come – getting up – and out of that cave before she rots there. (Preferably without getting eaten or maimed by hydras)
On the other hand, she might get hungry, so hydra might be the only thing edible around (how convenient, it regrows – neverending food supply!)
I assume the light is from the hole she made when she hit the ground and busted through into the cavern. I also assume there’s nothing too dangerous down there or she wouldn’t have woken up. But the question is, how is she going to get out of there?
Seriously, though. She bandaged herself with her cape and you will see her react to it in tomorrow’s page.
She’s also not trying to fix her bow. She’s sharpening the edge to use as a weapon. It’s broken beyond repair.
Well Nastajia’s parents are in the waking world where they clearly do not belong. Abbadon has a way to move between Dreamland and the waking world so that’s most likely going to come into play with resolving Natajia’s parent’s situation as well as Alex and Nastajia getting back together. I have a feeling they’ll end up having to make a choice which one of them will have to stay in the other’s world for the remainder of their lives as they’ll probably have to close whatever portal Abbadon is using permanently. I’m going to bet that Alex decides to live in Dreamland as he fits there more than Nastajia fits in the waking world.
It looks like Nastajia has already sharpened the other half of the bow, so she will have a pair of pointed single sticks to fight with.
As for Alex getting back to Dreamland there are many ways:
1) Our favorite mermaid could escape and return to the reflecting pool and go through it to him, then bring him back through.
2) Alex and her parents could journey to Egypt to use the portal there and meet up with Nastajia in the Nightmare Realm. Her parents heal Nastajia and together they Save the World.
3) Alex and her parents could go free (and save) Merlin from his tree and he sends Alex to Dreamland or to the portal in Egypt or through the reflecting pool that he summons.
4) When the dragon dies his banishment of Alex could end and Alex comes over on his own, just like the children. He certainly believes in Dreamland.
5) Once King Daniel saves the day he could abdicate in Alex’s favor, so Alex again becomes king.
6) Some magical MacGuffin in Dreamland could be used to summon Alex to Dreamland.
7) Nastajia could wind up going through the Nightmare Realm portal to meet Alex on Earth, possibly in Egypt. If she stays with him he does not have to go to Dreamland.
8) Several of the above could be combined, or Scott introduces a different plot device.
I forgot to add the obvious solution, namely the bracelet that allows any adult to visit Dreamland. Arthur completed it just before the centaur shaman was killed by Abbadon, trapping Arthur’s spirit. Dan can find and then bring that bracelet back and give it to Alex.

Oh hey. Not dead. Not dead is good.
She`s alive!! Lost her cape and her bow broke, but still….!
Last time we saw her, she was laying in a pool of her own blood. Will we get to find out how she survived?
Where did the blood come from, a while ago? 🙂
Good to see she’s alive! 😀
Looking at the comic I think you can see in panel two and three that she’s used her cape, wrapped it around her waist/chest area and there is some blood on it.
Maybe the blood was a red ooze she landed on that (mostly) broke her fall?

Looks like she’s working on repairing her bow. Interesting how there’s no one else around.

YAY!
TOUGH Elven princess. O_O;

Just a clarification as to the “red ooze” in the previous pages where Nastajia landed…
IT WAS KETCHUP, YOU FOOLS!
SHE LANDED IN A KETCHUP FACTORY!
🙂
Seriously, though. She bandaged herself with her cape and you will see her react to it in tomorrow’s page.

Hurrah! Nastajia is alive!!! Now what will she do,now that Daniel is the true king of Dreamland and will no longer be able to see Alex?
Unless Dan will remedy that???
And now all I can picture is a Hydra Butchers Shop putting all other businesses to shame with the profit margins….
Lol @ “Ketchup” comment – you’re the best, Scott! 😀
“You didn’t pay for your hydrahead, young man, time to feed the hydra”
“Nooooooooooo! I will pay! I will!”
And so Nastajia has another slave…
(if she catches a thief)

It also occurs to me that Nastajia was stunned by the fall and bleeding because she fell on that rock she is now using as a sharpening stone.
Oh, hey, she’s alive. That’s convenient.

If one or the other chooses to stay in ONE world, then the following phrase should be used…
“You’d do that? Give up your life just for me?”
“You’re all that matters to me,what difference does it make where we live-either on Earth or in Dreamland,as long as we’re together!”
Dang it! I keep forgetting the answer to this; Can’t she fly???
