Well…this is going to be interesting. But here’s hoping that Alex does something other than standing there. Of course, the fact that he had enough presence of mind to ask who they were suggests that his mind is engaging again. And if it is, I don’t think “Legion” will like that particularly much. 🙂

I thought Abbadon was one guy or are THEY a part of HIM?!?!?
Perhaps it is both? Maybe Abbadon can change shape and be 1 giant creature or hundreds of little ones. Whatever is the most terrifying to the person he is attempting to frighten. It be interesting to see something that could truly take shape of that which frightens you most but also be deadly at the same time.

Huh. I thought they were trying to upset or distract him, but they kinda… went nowhere with it?
They made a point of summoning illusions and then immediately dispelling them while also outright telling him they were illusions.
And now they’re renewing the attack?
So they’re… right back to where they were before?

I think there are very few games, books, stories, thoughts, ideas, worlds, creations, art, non-art, comics, etc. out that have NOT referenced the “We Are Legion” meme … You’d think after 2000 years of this thing, its usage would be outdated by now ;c)
On a different note: Can’t wait for the continuation xD I even refused to come back daily and do it in once / per week chunks to have more to read. Cliffhangers make me moody *lol* Well done and safe travels!

I would say that there is a central power called Abaddon, but it has no physical form so to speak and can channel its power through its minions. Abaddon is the lord of fear, it is the source of its power and fear has many form and many faces.
To speak to Lord Abaddon you would just need to speak to one of its minions.
It would explain why on the ancient tablets Abaddon was represented by a black sun.

Nooooo, I’ve finally caught up. I’ve bypassed this comic several times on TWC but finally decided to give it a read two days ago. This is one of the best webcomics I’ve ever read.
A bit of Biblical history here (trust me, it’s worth it). Legion was a demon that Jesus cast out of a man. Instead of being just one demon, it was as many as a Roman legion, ergo the name. Jesus casts all of the demons into a herd of pigs, which then go over a cliff and kill themselves. Abbadon is the beast from Revelation. It roughly translates to ‘The Destroyer’ from the Greek. I won’t try to full explain Revelation in this short post, but let’s just say he’s a pretty awful person who you don’t want to mess with.
What Alex is facing is very dangerous, indeed. It definitely builds on the whole idea of a king being appointed divinely, and that a king would destroy an absolute evil.
