I was just gonna say the same thing. lol
But that’s what makes him the best choice for King of Astoria! Sometimes you must take risks, and often those risks appear to be stupid (read bad/dangerous) ideas at the time. hehe
You know, everyone seems to be wondering how the guys’ parents will react to seeing a couple of elven royals…but I think they’ll just wonder why Daniel woke them up to show them some really good cosplayers. 🙂 Too many folks are quick to jump to the “rational” explanation for something, and more than a little reluctant to accept the “fantastic” explanation when it’s provided. 🙂 Most of us have evolved into a “seeing isn’t believing because many things can be realistically faked” kind of mindset. It certainly would be interesting to sit in on that conversation though…
I predict in this case “Stupid” is “Realizing the nightmare realm have the portal working and are likely about to invade so they have to rush to stop them ASAP instead of leaving the realm because that’s what heroes do”
I hope Alex can get back to sleep after all the excitement.
Alex! think of math problems! that always puts me to sleep. that or thinking about all the things i need to do the next day.
This is when it all hits the fan.
Parents go wild about elves in their house. Nastajia becomes confused about how her parents are not in Dreamland 0R the Nightmare Realm anymore, and the Nightmare Realm knows of Alex and Nastajia’s whereabouts.
Quoting from “The Corpse Bride:” “This is gonna be goood!”
I don’t remember ever seeing dad before. If it turns out he’s Arthur, I’m gonna be severely ticked off. (If he turns out to be Merlin, I’d just laugh myself silly.)
Their dad hasn’t been shown onscreen yet, so I’m sure Scott has something planned for that… I’m sure it’s not Arthur, as that just wouldn’t make sense. Arthur would have still been trapped in the limbo between worlds.
He’s gonna do something stupid, isn’t he?
I hope we get to see the parents meet sometime. XD Imagine trying to explain to Mom that her daughter-in-law is an elf who she never sees.
I was just gonna say the same thing. lol

short answer: yes.
Long(er) answer: of course.
Good luck to Alex in falling asleep.
Just my line of thought. Plus, I bet it will be shocking to them to discover that there are elves in the first place. I know it would be for me.
I think explaining a pair of royal elves to the parents would make for quite an entertaining evening.
How will the human parents react to a pair of royal elves in their home?
Imagine the following morning,Dan says to Alex:”You DID do something stupid, didn’t ya?”
My first thought was, “heavy handed foreshadowing, Scott.” But so appropriate for the circumstances. Great chuckle this morning.
Actually, a good ruler only takes calculated risks. Alex isn’t so good at the calculating part. 😛

So really, LEAVING is the stupid thing to do.
ParentS? plural? so dad is in the picture?
I hope Alex can get back to sleep after all the excitement.

Except that they went to the Nightmare Realm in search of Nastajia’s parents. Mission accomplished. They no longer need to invade it alone.
But they probably will. And my hope is that our “pirates” will come flying in to join them. 🙂
Parents? They have a dad at home?? I thought they were a single parent family. Have we seen their dad before and I just forgot?
My first thought was, “Never give an order you know will be disobeyed.”
He got training to do that at will, remember.
Sometimes those calculated risks appear stupid at the time. It’s only after that people go “that was a calculated risk!” if it succeeds. 😉

Famous Last Words, Dan. This is Alex we are talking about.
