yeah, he’s going to have to fight him/pursue the portal, and oberon will be upset until he gets the full story. “I know I broke my promise to you, but I did it *because* I love your daughter.”
Alex should have said, “I promise that if Nastajia’s still there when I get to Dreamland, that we will do our best to escape the Nightmare Realm without incident. However, since you so rudely awakened me in the middle of enemy territory, I cannot guarantee that I will not attack Abaddon, since I cannot guarantee that Nastajia hasn’t already been captured by his forces.”
But then, Alex never really was that eloquent…or that capable of foresight. 😛
Alex, don’t make promises you may not be able to keep. And for Pete’s sake, put on some PANTS!
Oberon, stop with the clueless father bit and explain how you and Titania are on Earth! You don’t want him doing stupid things, give him information so he doesn’t!
Titania, carry on. 🙂
Daniel, go barricade the door because all this noise should be bringing your parents into the room any moment. Also, go fix Alex some warm milk because it’s going to take him hours after this to calm down enough to sleep.
Nicole, why, as a developing scientist, are you not “SQUEEE”ing over being in the same room as two alien beings? Did you already do that?
Unless, maybe, you’re going for an angst scene in which the character really believes he need to do thus-and-such but “I made a promise,” requiring a choice between the lesser of two evils.
Somehow, I don’t think Nastajia will agree…
And I think she can push Alex around enough to get him to help her……
I’m going to go with it being pointless due to her being grabbed by him anyways.
“Well so much for not attacking him.”

Ditto on calling that Alex is going to have to do it anyway.
In the movies, telling the hero not to do something is a guarantee for him ending up in precisely the situation he was told to avoid….isn’t it?
Pretty much. If you tell the hero “DON’T DO THIS”, and then he doesn’t, well that line of dialogue was pointless.
Man, the lights and shadows really add mood to the scene in these panels.
Go Alex! You’re future-in-laws basically just gave you their blessings 🙂
Nice picture. I wonder if Sava will do something like that of the live action Watchmen film characters???
Still think getting the portal is a way dan and alex can be in dreamland together. So alex really needs to break the promise anyway.
