Happy Wednesday!
I’m back from Baltimore…and back on schedule.
Thank you for your patience.
There are only 5 more weeks of this chapter. Then we’re done with BOOK SIX.
And speaking of Book Six… there’s 26 days to go.

For the first time in my 40 years of existence … I am now a Kickstarter backer!
Now I have 25 days to figure out which character I want sketched in my book …
(Sorry for all the extra smileys, but I’m very happy!)
Oh, and FIRST!
😉
New box for sword: $0.45
Band-Aids for facial cuts: $5.
New frame for glasses: $100.
Coming to a sudden arboreal stop just to ask your girlfriend to dress up for and go to a Ren Fair with you: Priceless.
(Though in this case, it’s something that money CAN buy!) 😀
I can see her with the tankards, I can’t see her ringing that bell and yelling “Huzzah!”
Her look says “Boys!” all over.
Haha love her expression in the last panel!
TWC status update.

#7: 3,175 <= us

Still too far from the top, still followed closely by competitors. Vote, fellow Readers! Or else I’ll start pouring motivational speeches on you again.
Thanks for the reminder! 🙂
@Desmond:
Mate, I’ve never voted for TDC. I doubt I ever will. Why does it have to be ‘first’?
On any list. Anywhere.
Please, stop being so competitive.I
TDC stands on it’s own merit as an excellent story, written by
committed staff. It doesn’t -need- to be ranked or rated. Simply
enjoyed for what it is.
Regards,
Eli.
Hehe – proof that one is never too old to have fun and a good time, eh?
I’m a second-timer, btw. 😛
I’m sure she could lay hands on all sorts of interesting historical costumes… he should be an easy fit for a jester’s outfit. >:=)>
Excellent story it is. The question is, how does learn that it exists at all? Obviously, there are many ways (I, for one, came here from The Noob Comic by m’lady Gianna Masetti. It’s Mafia, I thought.) Top Web Comics is one of those ways, and it would be a shame not to use it.
The catch is, TWC works best for the top ten. Only the top ten have a graphical tablet shown, and you know as well as I do that superb graphics are one of the wonders of The Dreamland Chronicles.
Voting on TWC and keeping the Chronicles in top ten is not a competition as such. Rather, it’s a way to let people know. To share the wonder we behold. And, the last but not the least, to help Scott and his family make ends meet by luring new readers.
That said, many people are well motivated by competition. And it isn’t an entirely bad thing, either. It’s what made the USA, formerly a bunch of agrarian colonies, a leader in high tech. Believe it or not (best of all, check it with historians,) the late Mr. Armstrong only walked on Moon because of the competition between the USA and the late Soviet Union. It works, so who am I to judge them?
Love the look on Nicole’s face. She’ll probably say, “I outgrew that outfit after high school!”
Damnit, you should know better than to annoy every one with ‘firsts’!
Thanks so much!
I look forward to sketching in your book!
Aw. It’s great that we have these daily reminders.
I agree. Being #1 holds no special value… but I wouldn’t chastise others for trying.
You all have been so wonderful to keep me in the top 10 since I started putting the TWC button in the blog again this year.
Thank you all for your help and support in all things.
add to that pulling the sword out of the tree or ground and having to “fix it”.
nice placement of the sword box in the last strip scott to hide parts that can get in the way when you have dirty mental pictures.
Agreed
Ren faire with an e.
That last panel just makes my heart melt! ^.^
I was wondering. But I don’t think anyone corrected me a few pages ago.
After all these years, and all your comments, this is your first time too?
Now that I’m a backer, I am not only excited about reading the comic, but feel part of a new community. I’m invested. It feels SOOOO good! It’s like investing in the stock market. You don’t care what a particular stock is doing unless you’re invested in it. But in this case I feel like I am committing highway robbery. The dividends are just enormous. I KNOW I’m getting more than I paid for. But from what I understand, this is a win-win situation, so smiles all around. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Suddenly I started thinking about “Brigadoon”.
Speaking as a boy, that was my first thought, too. Specifically, to quote Dot Warner,
“Boys; go fig!”
🙂
I wish I could become one without a credit card, but no dice apparently.
Not a cheerleader uniform but a ren fair uniform, yup a nerd.
