Page 1499…
Hope you all enjoyed this week’s pages.
Monday is the last page of the Egyptian hieroglyphics… as well as our 1500th page!
Join us for a CELEBRATION the likes of which the world has never….ah…who am I kidding.
I’ll post a page…I’ll say “WOOT! Page 1500!” and we’ll just keep putting out more pages each day.
🙂
Thank you all for reading.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Scott
Go Page 1500!
Wow! This puts everything on it’s head. Dreamland is the one who tried to take over the Real world… Cool!
That portal in ancient egypt really reminds me of Stargate ^^;
Yes beware the Goa’uld, sorry Nightmare Realm people. They still want to take over the world. Page 1 500, YIPPEE. Just keep them coming.
Allon-sy! Be happy! Think about it. A crowd of people, no association, amongst billions, revel in your art! 1500 pages of it! And waiting, diligently, for what comes next. 😀
Nope. There is no possible way Ramses wouldn’t be exonerated because the Sword of Kings records everything he does. Therefore it would be able to testify and clear his name.
So there’s humans there all the time? Interesting.
Woo hoo!
We don’t know enough about Lord Abaddon at this point. Maybe he’s able to silence the sword, or even make it tell lies — or create an illusion of it telling lies, which is just as good (or evil).
Or maybe it’s something about the sword. It has been silent for a while now, too, even though Alex was recently sentenced to exile in its presence.
Hm…. I sense a plot hole.
If Ramses had the swrod of kings and it recorded everything, then wouldn’t Arthur know about the portal and everything that happened?
Have you noticed? TWC #4! Thanks for your votes, everybody (2,507 this month, making it 626.75 votes a day.)
Still, we have a lot of clicking to do. #3 has only 2,532 votes. Can we just sit and watch it eclipse The Dreamland Chronicles when mere 7 more votes a day would bring them one step closer to the place they deserve? No. This shall not come to pass. To mice, Dreamies! Join us in voting!
Just because the sword knew the story doesn’t mean it told the story. Maybe Arthur never asked it. Or maybe that’s why Arthur didn’t try to create a portal, but risked his life to create the bracelet that lets one human from Wakeland enter Dreamland while letting nobody come from Dreamland into the wake-up world.
Now then, should Alex and company try to locate these portals(if they’re still around at all?)
Since time passes differently in Dreamland, I wonder if those prisoners of war are still around. Perhaps they know of Nastajia’s parents?
So the Nightmare Realm essentially controlled Dreamlands at this point as a result? I wonder who led the liberation…Nicodemus?
Congratulations, Scott. This is the closest I’ve ever been to looking forward to a Monday.
Looking forward to Monday. Have a good weekend all.
Time doesn’t pass -that- differently in Dreamland. Remember, Nastajia and company aged at the same rate as Alex did from childhood to adulthood. Those Egyptians are long dead.
For the first time ever I figured out what happened before we were told!! 😀 I knew that Abaddon had to have skewed the story to make Ramses appear to be the bad guy. That was the only reason I could understand Nicodemus feeling the way he does about humans. Woot!
Scott, I would change “Stuck in Dreamland” to “Trapped in Dreamland”
“Stuck” just doesn’t fit the seriousness of the tone of the rest of the narrative
I’ve been enjoying the Egyptian wall art you’ve been posting all week. I’d love to know how you did it. How about a live broadcast night again?
Yes, the snakes do seem to be quite nightmarish, don’t they?
Good point.
Thank you.
If I remember correctly, the sword does not speak in public. It only speaks to the King and to those it chooses. Even the Centaur leader had to convince it to speak with a little magic.
That is old news we are now #3 on the list, and we can make i to the second place easly.
That’s right. And it makes me absolutely proud of being one of you, fellow Dreamies. You’re the best, as the audience the best web comic ever should be.
Let’s keep it up. It’s 2,696 votes of ours against #2’s 2,848 as of this writing. Rally to the banners of Dreamland! Keep your votes coming.
(And no, I’m not ‘posting too fast’, you silly machine!)
Don’t get complacent. The month has just begun, and the top 10 list often changes order drastically as the month progresses. We need to keep up with the voting to keep dreamland at the top!
Vote, everyone! Remember you can vote every day, regardless of whether there’s an update!
That’s assuming they were “liberated” of course. (wink wink)
1500 pages! Wow!
We can celebrate – I’ll bring cake – chocolate cake. Yummy 🙂
Don’t forget to vote. We’re number 3. Keep it going! 😉
Allons-y Alonso! (Sorry! Just couldn’t resist!)
Good point. I can see the treaty being the result of whatever happens on Monday.
This is the first time I’ve forgotten to visit until night (I usually read my webcomics in the morning). Has the site always changed with the time of day? If so that’s quite awesome.
Also, some interesting developments in the story as of late.
Not always, However, for some time now it has. I forgot when that change was made.
Even if the sword did talk, it’s not like Ramses II was talking to his sword and explaining what he was doing. Maybe he didn’t even have the sword necklace on. He did have to quickly gather up his army to fight the oncoming dreamlanders, plus the nightmare realm things were accepted into society already due to corruption, it looked like Ramses attacked them, of course the people might not believe it, but the other king guy (forgot his name) bribed and/or promised power to enough of the political officials to take control, the details weren’t given, but to pull something like this off you would have to be exceptionally smart, I find it very interesting trying to think about it trying to find out how he did it.
I think I know where this is going. The prisoners of war had children and they stayed and intermarried with the dreamland and nightmare characters. They found a way to rebel and hijacked a floating city. They have enough power to make it not worth either nightmare or dreamland under old Nikki to bother with them.
Also the reconstruction of the portal would be Alex and Naj’s goal to stay together. I take it Alex would stay in dreamland.
I think about a year and a half ago, roughly… 😀
Shouldn’t that be:
WOOT!
Well that makes sense, Ramses II’s son did disappear from history without a trace, and afterwards Ramses became severely depressed to the point his kingdom started to go down hill.
