I do hope the surprise is NOT Felicity (at least at this point)… the logistics prevent that, they are somewhere deep under the ocean and Felicity is high above the ground playing pirate with Kiwi & Paddington.

Also, i like where this is going. Childhood friends reuniting after years and years. I mean, the letters were one thing but they’re impersonal. this’ll be face to face. quite excited.

On the one hand, I don’t think it could possibly be Felicity (or maybe that was their goal, but they couldn’t find her in time)…but on the other hand, I don’t want to see Nicole upset by a(nother) failed attempt to reunite with her childhood friend.

Well, I already surmised that time runs differently in Dreamland. I wouldn’t be surprised if one night sleep on our plane of existez, is several days on the Dreamland side.
Heck! We seem to dream only for minutes at the time, but I had experiences that took hours, if not days, in my dreams.
as I stated, time on the dreamland side runs differently, so it’s not wholly inconceivable that the ship already landed on sea, and Alex went up to get Felicity.
If not, it could be careful prepared gift from Felicity. Flowers, a longer letter.. or maybe even a plush-toy Feli (not likely, but hey.. 😛 )

Loving all the characters being introduced, too. “Holy crap she’s way out of Alex’s league” has to be one of my favourite lines to date! 😀 I love how shy Nastajia is, too – most unlike her usual self. But then I suppose she IS meeting not only the rightful king of Dreamland but the twin brother of her beloved… AND the strategist whose plans helped take down Nicodemus! Daniel must be a bit of a legend to her, all things considered…
Hm… question and something that I been noticing. With your mermaid tails, do you have any joints in the ‘flippers’ of the tail? While the ‘leg’ part looks fine and has a lot of nice motion to it, the flippers looks stiff as if only the ankle part moves… so there’s no ‘push’ against the water as they swim, like there not moving at all yet the rest shows such movement. As one 3D artist to another… I’d like to know the rigging for the tail and if it has any joints to the flippers to allow the fins to bend to show movement rather then being stiff?
There is a bit of a history of disappointment on this issue. Remember when Nicole tried wearing the sword necklace to sleep? Be ready for anything.

Do all of those guys w/ brown helmets have spears sticking out of their heads? Is that a feature of their armor so they can head butt ppl with pointy ends?

Mine too. And it was abundantly clear from the beginning of David Tennants tenure that hé also was a big fan of Tom Baker’s absolutely zane Doctor.
Chris did an admirable job, but missed that bit of lingering insanity that Tom introduced and David worked-out to an even somewhat scary degree.
Aand, Tom is my hero, as is my gramma’ who knit me an original 3m scarf in exáctly the right colors! 🙂

One of the problems of showing you the details.
For some reason… a LOT of these guys got speared through the head (just too close to the next guy).
When I could…I’d paint it out. But with so many characters on screen…I wasn’;t able to show the details when positioning.
SO I wouldn’t see until the renders were done.
