Happy Monday, All!
I did a painting of Inigo Montoya this weekend.
I hope to do more Princess Bride paintings this week.

No fair! I was wondering what would happen if he woke up underwater!
As far as I know, he typically wakes up in his bed, or wherever he happened to sit/lay down in order to fall asleep… 😛
On the other hand, we still have to see what happens to his return to Dreamland, once he falls asleep again, as far as how the return-to-the-same-spot deal vs. the I-was-underwater-before-waking-up deal goes…
Love that glass door, with the reflections in it.
You beat me to it – I was about to say the same thing.
Scott – love the reflections on the glass. Awesome job as always!
I was hoping to see them talking through the pool, Alex & co. in our world to the ladies in Dreamland. Here’s hoping!
Typical Alex. “If it isn’t currently trying to eat off my face it’s not my problem.” And since it is day now they can be productive.
alex still wants to give up his kingship?
I’m a little confused with the tranistion. I don’t think this flowed really well.
Yeah, it kind of feels like there’s a missing page.
At first, it caught me that way as well. I was thinking “Hey, where is the page where Nast ajia gets upset for him leaving at an inopportune time?” But, I think we’ve seen enough transitions, we don’t have to see every one of them.
And Scott, I’m echoing the other comments on the reflections. Well done!!!!
First, I concur with Amber and LazerWulf above me, although it’s more along the lines of “we’ve already seen the characters head home before in another chapter, so no need for a repeat”, which I can understand.
Second, for some reason, the lighting here look more realistic than the last go-around in the real world. Maybe it’s the location outside of campus. Good job on that.
I love the sliding door and at first I thought Nicole had something under her arm but it turns out it’s just a reflection!
Alex wants Dan to be able to enter Dreamland. Since Dan is the rightful King, Alex assumes that once they manage to do that, that means Dan will automatically take over. The rules and mechanics of the situation may be more complicated than that… Also, I suspect he thinks his brother would be better at this King business than he is.
But really, now, why would those sea serpents need to be dealt with? Aren’t they merely part of the ecosystem? Part of the food chain? Remove them, and won’t another species that was previously being hunted by those serpents suddenly rise in number and the chain become imbalanced?
It’s not like they’re an imminent threat to the general populace…
That can’t have been easy!
Thanks again for bringing us The Dreamland Chronicles, I look forward to each new post! Your painting of Inigo Montoya is fabulous, and I hope you share more of your Princess Bride paintings with us.
Agreed…they’re basically like great white sharks. They’re not evil as far as I can tell.
….and perhaps they are protectors of the Auryn Pool.
A little tweak of the dialogue might easy the transition a bit more smoothly.
They still need to be dealt with for safe access to the pool. They may not need to be killed or destroyed, but something needs to be done so that folks don’t get eating trying to make a “call”
Ooh, this conversation promises to be interesting. :3 Good job on the comic! The reflections on the door look nice.
Or just Scott’s usual textbox in corner that says “a little while later” or something… I usually hate seeing stuff like that in movies, but in this case it might help. I also thought I missed a page…
Especially since it would also work the way they are doing it now: Alex as king, with Dan as a wise counselor.
But we did have Alex noticing that it’s morning already.
May I please ask all you out there reading this comic why you are not voting in Top web comics?!?

This is not the real Alex, is it? He’s underwater… >.>
I would imagine that the serpents are a deterrent. If the serpents were not there, then there would probably be an extremely long line wanting to view (or pass through for those magically gifted). One would need to fight their way to the ‘prize’.
Remember that true power needs a balance of consequence (and it shouldn’t be easily attained).
I’m wondering if Alex’s mother is complaining about the wet sheets…
Seriously Alex…. Just when I thought you had stepped up. Your elf girlfriend isn’t going to be happy when she finds out.
whoa, that was a jump. i wonder what happens when he goes back to sleep? does he go back to dreamland underwater?
I almost instinctively looked for the reflection of the camera in the door like it was in a movie (hint hint 😉 ).
