Ah yes… another variation on “Are we there yet?” 😛
That’s… an impressive amount of books, Scott. It’s a good thing that your living room (family room?) is a good enough size to handle what you have already processed.
I wonder what you would have said if someone from the future came back and showed you these photos after you posted the very first Dreamland page on the web and said “In 2011, this will be your living room” 🙂
Guess when we see Kiwi and the gang again, there’ll be no mention of this flying thing, either. Instead, they’ll run into something even more intriguing to be completely forgotten the next time we meet them. And so on, and so forth. Tell you what, folks. They’re already in the flying city. Bewitched.
Uh oh, and all the Magical Elves are busy in Dreamland right when Scott needs them most…
It might be nice if the speach bubbles were outlined in different colours for each character. i.e. nastja’s bubble is purple, alex’s bubble is blue, felicity’s is orange, nic’s (if he does return) is red, etc. The characters don’t even have to maintain the same colours all the way through just have different colours from each other when in a conversation.
It just hit me our dear Princess is swimming in to the abyss with her only support some guy that can flak out and vanish with out notice, for how knows how long. Not her smartest plan to date. :/
Might just be light and shadow. Alex is holding his glowing arrow back by his tail, which would illuminate Nas’ left side and throw her right side into darkness. She, on the other hand, is holding her arrow a bit ahead and below them, which is why they’re lit from below…
That is the paddington plushy box that says X of 250. If you ever work with books you will laugh at anyone who thinks handling 250 plushies is hard work. The book boxes say “20” and the pallet has 5 layers of 9 boxes. That matches Scott’s “200 done and 700 to go”. 45 * 20 = 900. Most light industrial workplaces chew through lots of pallets in a single shift. The personalized sketches should be the largest chore.
@ Scott
You can get used doors and some short 2X4s from most demolition sites. 4 Saw horse brackets might cost around $20. Squatting thousands of times is a lot of extra effort. If you bend over wrong you can pick up a painful long term injury. Repetitive stress injuries can sneak up on you. A saw horse is easy to assemble and break down.
Good luck, Scott. And a Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Good luck! That’s a massive pile!
I’ll bet you never thought you’d get to this point when you started.
Oh, and nitpick: take a look at Nas’s belly in the second panel. There’s some weird little gaps.
I wonder if mine is in that picture. Time to try to squint and read the notes! 😀
200 done already? WOW!!

Happy Holidays to you and your family Scott!

Actually…it’s my office.
🙂
One of the benefits of moving to Tennessee.
It looks like there are 250 of the large boxes (according to the writing on the box). That is a lot of boxes!
Man, your hand is gonna be cramped! be carfeul that it doesn’t freeze into pencil holding position!
Swimming into the void of the OUTER SPACES!
Sorry, just had a Snorks flashback…
Agreed. It looks like some skin is overlapping onto the mermaid tale.

Now I’m kind of glad I have to wait for my birthday for the book; one less sketch for you to do ASAP. Good luck with everything!
Whatever you do, try to keep from destroying your hand – that’s a lot of drawing to do!

Wait a minute. If he wakes up while a merman; will he be a merman when he comes back to Dreamland? or an oxygen breather?
At least he won’t be a fish when he wakes up.
Good luck and thank you!~
You two have the perfect avatars for this conversational exchange ^_^
Where is that Flux Capacitor when I need one…?
+1
A good question by each of you. So far, Alex hasn’t woken up while in the water, so we can’t say for certain what Scott (or Nastajia) will do.
well, it alot better then walking lol.
dam, that’s alot of book orders. O.o but i’m glad you got so many. 🙂
Hopefully mine is one of the ones that’s winging its way out soon. Can’t wait to share with my nieces.
U moved to Tennessee? that’s real close to where I am….Keep up the good work Scott love your comics

Just keep swimmin’, just keep swimmin’…
Maybe ask a certain Mr Claus for advice on short lead time deliveries 🙂
Next Kickstarter will be to pay for your treatment for RSI !
I think I see my book in front. Woo Hoo! Cant wait!

Very nice lighting effects, BTW!

A good ergonomic tape dispenser is a sound investment. You will be rolling out a few thousand feet of tape.
so true, and almost creepy.
