Page 1370…
Hi all! Don’t forget…this weekend, I’ll be at GMX in Nashville!
Come say hi!
Also…
So…I’ve been painting!
There’s more on Ebay here…
Please check them out…
I’m having a lot of fun…and plan on doing several more.
Scott
The fourth painting is missing. Also, Alex is right. Real cooking tastes like heaven. I am not saying that instant food, and the like is not some times really tasty, just that real cooking is so much better. Keep up the good work Scott!
He calls him idiot over food? Good call Dan. Good call.
Today’s strip reminds me a lot about Mike and his roommates discussions on their dorm in another web comic named Bardsworth. Here’s an example:

Maybe the previous one was an even better example:

Note the bookreading similarity. 🙂
Sometimes, you can see, Dan thinks his way right past the basics. Nicole has to remind him of the obvious; Alex is listening to his gut (literally) and realizing a basic truth. It’s a balance thing.
Bah. Food is life — good food is living! ^.^
Nice looking work, Scott!
The person who doesn’t believe that “real food” can taste like heaven doesn’t appreciate food the way I do. 🙂
Is it now a good time for the Wraith shadows to appear?
I think he’s calling Alex an idiot for not going to the trouble to make heaven for himself.
Real food doesn’t mean a bathroom emergency, Alex.
hmm, odd, I dont see anything, maybe a hard refresh
that was the problem, I agree with Dan there, his brother is an idot sometimes
That’s awesome Scott =)
OK, I know this is a mean nitpick, but it was jarring: in panels 1 and 4, how did THAT lightsource cast THOSE shadows from THAT book? I’d expect to see the shadow of the top of the book, not the bottom corner.
Only way I can see is if the flashlight were under the book somehow, or there’s some other light source, much brighter than the flashlight, coming from somewhere around his groin.
I’m guessing that the lightsource was moved from the end of the flashlight for dramatic effect and to light up the scene more appropriately, but without paying attention to the shapes it cast, only to whether the right things were illuminated.
Wow. It must be Top Secret Stuff to not be showing their father yet. It make me curiouser and curiouser. Alex headed for dreamland soon with heaven on his mind. Maybe it will help him find what he looking for.
Your paintings look really spiffy, Scott. I can’t help but think Dracula looks like Shia LaBeauf, though. I’m sure you know the name of the actor you actually had in mind, but it’s too late. I’ve already convinced myself that’s what Shia would look like as Dracula.
Live off of fast food as long as I have, and you’ll really understand what Alex is thinking. My cooking arrangements alone are enough to make me seriously consider getting my own apartment while I’m at school.
Egads, I wish I were better at time management! I’d be cooking myself to better health in no time flat! I think if a troll were to bite into me, he’d stop mid-bite, grab my leg and pull me out of his mouth, spitting. I don’t even like going to places like Applebee’s and Chili’s anymore.
I really liked foodservice when I was working in it. Maybe I should just start a mom and pop diner that serves healthy food. Of course, I’d need a wife and kids to get the “Mom” part of the “Mom and Pop”.
Meh, details… Who knows? Maybe “Bachelor who can cook” will create it’s own demographic.
For those of you who are chuckling at the idea, mac and cheese has its place, but I can do a mean pot roast, some good chicken Kiev, and I’ve even done some good cream puffs! (I’m 1 for 2 on that one, though.)
Geez. I just ate, and I’m already hungry again…
Okay, ignoring the crotch-light option, I’m thinking the flashlight sends out some kind of inverted light rays that come to a focus point beyond the book but before the wall. This leads to the book’s shadow being cast upside down.
YawningMan, have you not hear of the great Bela Lugosi? He is the classic dracula. http://www.draculas.info/_img/gallery/dracula_bela_lugosi_103.jpg
*bops YM on the noggin* Shia LaBeauf!
Hehehe. What a question! Here’s the deal… Most people make a game of trying to think of movies that a person hasn’t seen. With me, people try to guess what I HAVE seen.
Normally, within a minute, people are already telling me what movies I need to watch with them just so I can be relevant.
excellent lighting
and draw (HP)
😀 I highly recommend “Space Balls.”
I like the paintings. Should find a way to incorporate them into the Carter’s home as decorations.
