though i agree, he’s just upset at losing the battle/blowing up his own treasure room + venting it on the innocent townspeople >=(

On topic, I agree with RG. These pages are something else. I don’t know why but I particularly like Nicodemus’s headshot. Who says tyrants can’t look good? 😉

I believe that once you blow up your own treasure room, that you are no longer allowed to claim any items that were once inside as still being yours if they have been taken into possession by somebody else first. It is kind of like throwing your golf clubs into the lake, and then once somebody else fishes them out, demanding that they give them back to you.

Seeing that he flew UPWARDS at first, now seeing him WAY BELOW his starting point does seem a little confusing. A bit like in “2012”, I think they started off LAX airport, and first they fly a mile or two straight DOWN a crack, then all of a sudden, they are high above ground again, even above many of the skyscrapers in downtown LA.
Well, of course I don’t know on what high hilltop LAX is actually… 😉
To compress what I’m saying:
Since he must just recently have made a huge dive, it would be good if you included that dive in a new panel 1, before the current first panel. The 3rd and 4th panels could give up a little space to accommodate for the extra panel.

It took me a while too–but the first page Nico appears–Chapter 1, page 24–if you look closely, you can see the stone mortar joints through his wings. (So, call it 1231 pages…)

Nyeh…I dunno, Scott. The rain might take away from Nic’s dramatic entrance a bit. He really stands out in that first panel, and the rain *might* take away from that a little bit. Although I think seeing both side by side could easily decide that issue.

I just ntoiced it on second viewing (and before I saw this comment), so I agree that it should be there…AND I agree with Druke that if you’re not careful it could detract from Nic’s imposing appearance. Maybe less rain in front of Nic when you do edit it in?

That’s a really good idea, although I can see it might be tricky to pull off:
Nic’s kind of huge, so properly speaking I guess there should be rain around and above him, but not so much below him. Not only would it look pretty neat, but it would keep the rain from blotting out Nic’s dramatic flight pose.
I personally didn’t see the wings until I read your comment 😛

Ask any big businessman that. Why do you need FIFTY billion when you already have TWENTY FIVE billion? It’s not like there’s anything you’re going to want to buy that you don’t already have the ability to buy. Congressmen are cheap, after all.

I’m pretty sure that 4 rounds has already passed, at this point, so he should be fine (as it only takes 1d4 rounds to recharge). The bigger question is just how big can that bubble get? Can it get big enough to protect all of the townspeople? If not, Alex better hope he rolls 3 20s in a row, and soon.
(I might play a few RPGs as well, but I wouldn’t say WAY too many.)
