I waited over an hour this morning to see if a plumber could get out to my house to fix a leak.
I’ve been waiting several years now for the next Miles Vorkosigan novel, due out in October.
My mother just celebrated her 90th birthday with her two identical triplet sisters.
Delay is relative. 😉
I don’t know, he’s done OK so far. With a little training, and some good advisers, he should be fine. And it’s not like Daniel has had much training to be king either.

So, this is just something I noticed, but when I lay my head on a table the part in the middle of my hair doesn’t stay in the middle, gravity brings a good bit of my hair to the other side of my head. Get what I’m saying?
That’s what I was thinking, too. But then I thought, with the way Alex’s hair looks, he could be using hair gel… it’s a possibility.
When using quotation marks at the end of a sentence, the period comes before the closing quotation mark.
It should be “King Material.”
Well, Daniel might be saying the truth, but the way he acts, I’m sure that there is something reassuring further down the road.
Oh Alex, you know you’ll have to take that comment in stride, because deep down you know its nothing but the truth. Just sigh and admit it.
That, or suddenly have a massive breakthrough on maturity and surprise everyone within the current chapter. Your call.
To be fair, Dan’s probably not king material either. Neither of you were raised to deal with that kind of thing, nor live in the time period where you could learn.
Seriously, I love Alex and Dan in these last two strips. The head down on the table thing…it’s such a perfect, human kind of stance, so much more effective than if he just had his head in his hands or something. And I love Dan’s face in the last panel. He’s not laughing or amused at all, he’s not making fun of Alex. He’s being supportive, and logical, which is exactly what Alex needs him to be.
Dan is this generation’s “Merlin.” …well, kinda.
BTW! Scott, way to place a recognizable bottle of Crystal Geyser water. *I had to do a search to make sure it wasn’t Arrowhead.
I wonder if Dan will now reassure him or just keep flaming him…
Whose hand is in the first two panels and what’s going on with the fingers? It’s not Alex’s hand because his arms are under the table, and it doesn’t match the position of Dan’s left arm either — unless he switched to that position after yesterday’s comic and then switched back for panels 3 to 5. Plus it is leaning to the right so it couldn’t be his right arm could it? I’m just confused.
Alex: “I’m not ‘king material.’
Dan: “Alex, everyone knows you’re not ‘King Material.’ Although the Dreamlanders would call you ‘King Alexander,’ not ‘King Material.'”
Hahaha nothing beats the snide comments you can insert into caring conversations with your siblings! 😀

In Panel 4, the emphasis placed in Alex’s comment makes it look like a response to Daniel having said something along the lines of “I know!”. But in fact there is no such comment. I was a little confused.
Sometimes it’s the ones that aren’t “king material” that make the best kings.

Maybe I’m wrong, but it looks like the hair texture has improved! Either way, whoever is in charge of the 3D modeling and the texturing is doing a phenomenal job.

You also made another mistake. The first word in the last panel, ‘Alex.‘ should be ‘Alex,‘.
“I’m not king material… you know?” As in, “you know what I mean?”
I was always taught that the period goes outside the quotation marks unless it was part of the sentence being quoted.
That drink can reminds me of Sun Vista pinto beans. I chuckle as my medication addled mind thinks of a pinto bean carbonated beverage.

Alex is fortunate that he has such people around him that he can be so straightforward honest with. It just shows that a significant part of what makes good leaders is who they surround themselves with.
