Wow. 10 months and 161 pages!
Thank you all for your patience and support this year. It has been pretty close to a year.
I will be taking the rest of the year off and working on Chapter 15.
I’ll start putting up some more “Making Of” pages (they’ll be exerpts from Book 3) on Monday.

yes, I hope you have a Merry Xmas and all. However, since I just found this this week and have gone through the entire archive I think I may be suffering some withdrawl waiting for more of your wonderful story.
The battle for Dreamland would be a lot shorter if Alex could bring some weapons from his world to off Nicodemus.
So…I counted, and this is at *least* fifteen different kinds of awesome.
What would happen if you mix modern warfare weapons with magic and fantasy? That would be the war to end all wars, particularly if some of those magical engineers get their hands on the technology and tweak it to their own means.

Happy Holidays! Enjoy! This is a very good page to leave the story off at. It looks even better than the previous pages. The sheer ferocity in the dragons features is awesome. It’s like a doom waiting… I look forward to the battle for Dreamland. If Alex isn’t going to fight him yet… then what would this wise centaur suggest? Surely Nicodemous can’t be let to go around unchecked in Dreamland.
Oh and it would be cool to see guest pages, but don’t feel pressured to do it.
Hey great page and “cliffhanger”! As far as tweaking it Scott the only thing that immediately jumped out to me was the contrast of the shadows…are those burning buildings giving off that much light? Shouldn’t there be some smoke obstructing the light coming from the buildings and inhabitants? Just thought you could tweak that if you did anything, otherwise looks great! Have you thought about linking your page activity to Facebook? Fast Company does it whenever I post to them it from my Facebook account ;D

It’d be interesting to find the guardians…and see if they really ARE dragons.

Man, I just read through the entire archive of pages yesterday and today and i LOVED IT!! The graphics and story is so amazing! I also love those sketches you posted between books, because I love getting to see the pre stages of any art. I can’t wait for the next Chapter!

Absolutely epic moment well worth waiting for. And yet I wonder if this is all basically…pointless on Nicodemus’ part. If those tablets were imbued with magic, it’s going to be a lot harder than that to just destroy them. What is Made cannot be unMade and all that.
Oh, there be an ass-whopping in store for somebody soon! And, what importance do the tablets serve anyway? Everybody in Dreamland knows the score with Nic. Anyone that has seen the tablets can tell Alex anything of importance, so…and it is obvious, in Orion’s words.
BTW, Scott, I’m glad that your boys got to go out on the ice, all of the ice hockey games up in these parts were cancelled due to the severe weather. I trust that all affected by this Blizzard 2009 are safe, staying warm and dry?
I guess in the absence of new material, it would serve if all of us went back and reread the comic from the start. And evaluation of the weapons at Alex’s disposal can be done.
BTW, we nearly did the impossible, TDChronicles went from #22 to #11 almost overnight at TWComics. If we put on a push, we can lift these Chronicles into the top ten with little trouble. So, don’t forget to VOTE

Back on topic. When you first showed old Nicy I didn’t really like him, I didn’t like this art style from a dragon like him, it just didn’t seem to work. But now he has sort of grew on me- now he looks cool, even more so these last couple of pages. He looks so evil and cool in this one here.

All I can say is… DAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN
I saw something like this coming. However, I don’t understand how it could take 3 weeks for Nicodemus to figure out how to get the magical amulet to work and then, suddenly, in one night he is able to attack multiple tablet locations simultaneously. (How can he be in two locations at once or fly faster than the fastest fairies?) I thought the amulet was dropped inside Hilmdel and perhaps it was lost for a long while? But then, I’d think the dwarves would fight to the last man to defend Hilmdel and not give him time to search for it.
But most of all, I think that Orion and the gang were fools to not go read the Aethos tablet (with Kiwi’s flying aid) immediately, not even waiting for Alex to learn how to fly. At least then they’d know what it said.
That said, I really do like the page layout and enjoyed the story thus far.
