It’s details like these — the rain, your attention to composition, reflections, lighting, everything — that make you the artist of Dreamland Chronicles, not just the folks who provide you with models.
I mean they do great work too, but it’s like setpieces for a play. They’re just objects until someone uses them properly to display to an audience.
Agreed. But also, as with all special effects, the best ones are the ones you don’t notice just because they fit into the world so well that they seem as if they belong there. Perhaps that’s why most people didn’t notice those details, because you did such a good job on them, Scott.
And we loved it! All that hard work definitely paid off 🙂
But it sure made the battle EPIC!
Be glad you didn’t use snow! How dramatic is snow during a battle?
So Dreamland’s forecast for the remainder of the next century is “ANYTHING, but RAIN!”. ^_^
I thought you did a fantastic job on the rain. Pain in the butt? Yes. Looks awesome? Absolutely!
… said in the same manner as Captain Kirk’s “KHHAAAAAAAAAAAANNNN!!!!!’ I’m guessing?

If it’s a snowball battle, VERY!
“RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN!!!!”
So…does this mean Stephen Colbert’s gonna show up and start “singin’ in Korean”?
(Coincidentally enough, I was Googling pictures of Bi [AKA Rain] last night.)
I blame it on the little-known Storm Zombies, who constantly stumble around looking for RAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNNN!!!!!!!!
Nothing good ever came easy and all that. The more details there are, the more work it is, and the more magnificent the end result.
‘Didn’t it rain, chillun!’ 🙂
And now, the weather forecast for the rest of the story. Drought! 😉
That’s only in Narnia 🙂
Yep — the best details are subtle enough that you only notice them subconsciously… it adds to the sense of realism without intruding.
The rain did look really great. I think your work paid off.
Or the bug killer commercials…
