Morgan Le Fey was always my favorite part of the King Arthur mythos.
In this incarnation, perhaps she was an ally of the Nightmare Realm. Perhaps she stays eternally youthful by feeding on the dreams of the children who were captured and taken there and she can be a modern antagonist instead of just a flashback antagonist. Maybe she’s even found a way to physically enter Dreamland.
What the two above said so eloquently. I personally wouldn’t mind seeing Morgan Le Fay as a sort of Nightmare Queen to balance out the Dreamland King. Then again, I am pretty sure that some where, some one has done some thing very similar and managed to turn it in to a hedonist’s play ground some how. This is one case where I wish the rules of the internet did not apply to every thing else as well.
They don’t have to (the rules applying that is). ๐
It could just be a question of her feeding on the dreams/innocent optimistic energy of children to keep herself young (as LazerWulf said so well), while deriving her physical/magical power from their subsequent nightmares. Kind of like a McDonald’s Miserable Meal for evil people, if you will. The ultimate power trip, certainly, but nothing hedonistic.
It would be so cool if, in spite of Nic’s demise, the Nightmare realm posed a threat once more again, and upon further investigation it turned out to be Morgan Le Fey, atop a throne of despair, picking her teeth with the bones of hope itself. And she’d be a typically intelligent ‘baddy’ as well, reminding Alex/Nastajia that there ‘must always be a balance’, and that they can never totally eradicate all evil, because it is precisely that contrast between the forces of light and dark that give them both their relevance and power (think Flight of Dragons). She could be the Lex Luthor to Alex’s Superman/Nastajia’s Superwoman (the fascinating Smallville version).
And hey Scott, I didn’t even mention casserโฆ whoops, almost! O_O
The only problem I see with the theory of Morgan Le Fey being in the nightmare realm is that only one adult human can enter the dream world… unless it would be different in the case of the division between nightmare realm and dream land, if there could be one adult human in each, but I highly doubt that the nightmare realm would be ruled by a human since the nightmare realm baddies seem to absolutely hate humans. It’s definitely an interesting idea though, but also remember that they haven’t found Nic’s body… which according to Alex and his knowledge of all movies means that he’s not dead n.~ so I think shortly they’re going to have their hands very full of a vengeful Nic, and having Morgan Le Fey on top of that will probably be the demise of Alex, Nastajia and all of Dream Land.
The second panel shows that the wraith has a human hand and what appears to be the clothes of some sort of nobleman. I think they are like the Ringwraiths of LOTR: humans changed into creatures of the Nightmare Realm. Perhaps Morgan Le Fay was also changed somehow, and is a permanent resident there, much like the pirates of the flying ships.
Awwww, you beat me to it! Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines, but she would have to find a way around dreamland’s condition that only one adult may enter. ‘Course that doesn’t mean she couldn’t be a minion to the nightmare realm’s leader in the real world. (perhaps for certain benefits of mystical nature…)

It’s a thought.
Morgan Le Fey always struck me as a very dangerous villain. I can see her being an ally of the Nightmare Realm, like the wraiths, somehow.

Who knows, she might even have become the Nightmare Realm Pirate Queen after the unfortunate demise of her kinsman Henry. ๐
Meanwhile, a syndicated comic is getting in on the action: http://candorville.com/2011/07/21/the-unbelievable-man-3/

Medievally speaking, “Saracen” is basically code for “Not Us.” ๐
But doesn’t “le Fey” mean “the Fairy”? She could be a citizen of Dreamland, one who possibly found a way to come to this world.
Ha. That’s great!
Well, if Morganna is an evil queen of the nightmare realm, don’t you think that would be a pretty frickin’ good reason for them to hate humans?
