OK, I just want you to know that I am enjoying this book so much that I am ordering them from Amazon. I have a nephew that will love these…. once he can read. HAHA.
Anyway, thanks so much for putting them the interweb.
They’re dwarves – of course they all seem to be male. Even the females have beards, and you can’t tell them from the men. Makes courtship interesting when you have to guess the gender of your romantic interest….
Not a fair accusation. Dreamland is supposed to be the realm shared by dreaming humans, and inspiration for fiction would naturally arise from such a place. Ergo Scott can legitimately borrow from many different sources. “Tribute” would be closer, but honestly he has to include some of these shared archetypes just to be internally consistent.
If you look carefully, you can see that some of the dwarven 3D models are being repeated and re-used. Not surprising, considering the size of this crowd.

Oh SNAP! your in for it now!!!
Dwarves. Of course.
There’s a million of them and they just had their cave smashed into. Not good.
Nah, it’s Dwarves. They may not like Elves, but they aren’t evil…
They like gold. Distract them with gold!
Or with the cat-girl. They seem to be all male
I KNEW IT!

Okay, Dwarves. What was your first clue?
See, someone else thinks the way I do. Mike, I agree wholly.
Soooo Lord of the Rings.
somebody ban smoketrix! 😉
LOL!
[coughs] Moria!
so lord of the rings rip off
Or fanboy reference to LOTR – sometimes people do make little references cause they admire things 🙂
… so the short guyys r not dead.
Yep. Homage to Moria.
Nastajia: I thought my father had this place fumigated! They breed in the walls, you know…

Ship wood, mountain rock, probably not a problem. Especially because dorfes have axes.
They should be thankful that the ship blocked out the army of flying things.
Me thinks dorfs were in literature before Tolkein.

16th century paintings are older than lord of the rings.
It’s daytime in the background again! 🙂
Where’s Waldo?
Dwarves. Called it.
Can’t do that. Random Dood called dibs on Felicity some time ago, and I call second when he dies (mysteriously).
One does not simply call dibs on Felicity.
*plays some Wagner*
… you were saying?
