Put a shirt on that boy!!!
Ok. You may or may not have noticed that Daniel is sleeping with a t-shirt on.
This has to do with the constant teasing from family and friends about these boys who walk around in nothing but their “undies” all the time.
Ha ha.
I hadn’t thought about how this looks to people. Honestly I just thought that’s what guys would wear if they were brothers in a dorm (or at home).
Anyone have an opion on this?
Either way. Dan’s covering up those “Man Boobs” from now on.
Alex will keep it real though. He’s not ashamed!
Haha, nice! I recognize that blue creature on the little cousin’s pj’s, it’s the puma-cat logo of the puma shoes and clothing brand…like that hat I’m wearing on my head right now. ;D
I wonder if anybody else will pick up on this…
I prefer them wearing shirts, but one of each is a good compromise!
Hmm, I’d also prefer them with shirts on, but I guess it really doesn’t matter that much either way. And, their cousin’s pjs are cute. =)
*Chuckles*
I’m from the Desert so we went around with no shirts on as much as possible. Heck I’d go around the house naked all the time if it wasn’t for my house mate. 🙂
So yeah, my brother’s and I (I’m the oldest of three) would be perfectly fine walking around with no shirts on. Totally normal for us. 😀
Hehe.
I sleep without a shirt all the time, perfectly normal. 🙂

My hubby strips down to his boxers as soon as he gets home, including the t-shirt when it is warm — he’s been doing it since college at least, so I didn’t find it too strange!
The last time I wore a top in bed was when I was around 11, IIRC. Might even have been younger. More comfortable without, IMO, so it seems perfectly natural to me that other guys would sleep topless.
Yay! I finally caught up with the comic…I have been reading the archives for the last couple of days and I simply love the storyline.
Anyway, I think the shirt thing fits Dan’s personality. He would be the one to cave under the ridicule and teasing of his family. I agree…Alex is definitely the one keeping it real. Good job as always!
At the risk of being accused of being sexist – it seems to me that the girls all want the tee shirt on whilst we boys know that, in the real world, we hardly ever wear anything above the waist to bed.
I’m 16, and I’ve had the misfortune (hehe) of sharing a room with my brother my whole life up until this year when he started going to a University elsewhere. We never wore shirts, but we wore “undies”.
It’s not really a big deal seeing your brothers chest/back, but anything furthur is getting a bit too weird for comfort.
As said already though, the shirt seems to fit Dan’s personality, so I have no problem with him wearing one.
Wow, that is an awesome Speed Racer sleeping bag. I wish I could’ve had one as a kid.
Bare-chested is fine – a little chest hair wouldn’t hurt, either.
I don’t think many men wear shirts around the house when relaxing. I never have. Its not uncommon for me to lounge around in boxers all evening. I couldn’t sleep with a shirt on if you paid me!
To be honest, I never much paid attention to if they wore a shirt to bed or not; it just didn’t seem like an important aspect to me. I don’t really care if one goes without one, or if they both do. I grew up with the sibling closest to my age being my older brother, though, and then there’s my Dad, so I am used to guys walking around without shirts on when getting close to bed/relaxing, or perhaps a “wife-beater” as they’re called (I don’t know how the term’s used in other places, but those white sleeveless shirts is what I mean =] )
I’m a girl -and I don’t mind. 🙂
I’ve several older brothers, and when they were/are around at home, they often walked around shirtless (in the morning, evening, when relaxing, etc). Maybe it’s just that I’ve lived with brothers… but the shirt thing never really registered with me when they were at home, and I hardly noticed it in The Dreamland Chronicles.
In the comic, I noticed it a little, but it didn’t mean much to me. It’s a natural thing, in my opinion; just something guys do. 🙂 And as long as they keep their shorts on, it’s all good. ;D
Well, I only wear a T shirt to bed when I am sick. But my all of my brother-in-law’s family wear t-shirts at bedtime. I think you made a good choice and should stick with it. Besides, its your comic. =)
Yeah, I go without a t-shirt at home… and my dad’s decided to take offence at seeing any part of me other than arms and feet…. So I guess that one t-shirt between the two of them is cool
To be honest, I sleep stark naked, and when I slept in a room with my brother I would just undress and get into bed, no fuss. But then again, I’m Dutch, and some parts of the USA seem to be a bit backwater where ‘nudity’ (if one can even call it that) is concerned. At least from what I pick up from tv and news and such.
most of my guy friends and boyfriend wear nothing but their skivvies aka boxers to bed, but when teased, my boyfriend likes to cover up his moobs with a tshirt as well. SO, it seems reasonable to me that dan would cover up.
