Loneley…
Maybe it’s moving 2000+ miles away from everyone you know…
But it just seems really quiet around here. Not too many posts…people are visiting…but not much posting here or on the forum.
Hope everyone’s doing ok. We’re settling in to our new house…
I’m trying to get Book Two ready for comic con. At least for a preview for everyone to see.
I’m so excited to meet everyone.
Still…it’d be nice to hear from you all. Just say hi.
π
Saw your post and thought I’d say hi. Fairly new to the site, but love the story and the artwork! Very nice work and I look forward to seeing where the story goes. Thanks!

Thanks John…
I hope my post didn’t sound TOO pathetic…ha ha.
Just sometimes there’s alot of people posting. Sometimes not.
I think I’m just missing everyone.
Thanks for reading and thanks for the kind words.
I know how the lonely thing is. About two years ago my mom, sister and I moved out to California from Michigan, where I had lived for 16 years. I left behind pretty much my entire family and the life I knew. But after living here for a while I realized that no matter what you are never really alone because you will always have the memories of loved ones and friends to look back on. Sorry for preaching but I thought it might help you transition into your new life easier since it helped me to.
Hi! I was just wondering why she’s falling if they’re underwater and she has a mermaid tail? Thanks for sharing your great artwork/story!
The lack of activity is probably due to the summer months…people are travelling, students are away from their LAN connections…seasonal stuff. Things’ll pick back up in a little while. π We all still love you, and your story!
HI SCOTT!!!! I can’t wait to see you at Comic Con! It’s going to be epic and awesome. π Hugs from the homeland!
Still reading, still enjoying – just not a lot to say right now, really π
Glad your move went well, though π
Hi Scott.
Glad to hear your move went well and you’re setteling in. How about some pics of your new house and/or studio?
It would be fun to see where the master does his work. π
I think its real brave of you to move across the country. I did it twice.. once to move out to another state, then again to return home. It takes time to get used to a new area, so get outside and explore! It’s by far the best way to feel comfortable.
Still here as always. While Students get the summer off for Frolics or whatever they do, I dont as I have to get the college ready for the next term. π
Hi! ^_^
Hey!
There are people all over the world who sometimes feel miserable. Moving to a new place is a bit difficult at first, it’s always like that. Especially if the the whole family is involved. But you’ll get used to it in time (but then you probably knew that). There are lots of people waiting where you live that you can befriend. Don’t worry. Your mailbox be full again soon enough!
I’ve been reading your comic for over a year now and I love every bit of it.
Take care!
hi just wanned to say hi and wishing you well. Hopefully your starting to feel at home there.
Ciao
Hi Scott, relatively new reader, but thought I’d say hi too! BTW, the comics on WOWIO is a cool thing, and I’m currently downloading them all, partially to give you money, but (honestly) because I want em! Keep up the good work! Love the story so far.
Hey Scott,
Moving can be a real drag, but you’ll get settled in eventually and I’m sure there are some great folks in the area! In the mean time, wrap yourself in the comfortable warming blanket of your fans!
hey Scott!
you’re doing great on the comic π
hope you’re well.
You’re going through very normal emotions. It will even out for a while and then hit again at about 2-3 months, then even out again and hit again about every 6-10 months for a couple of years. It’s something that many people who move go through.
I did when I moved from Virginia to Ohio. The culture is just enough different that I really struggled for a while. Even now I go through short phases of culture shock and I’ve been here 7 years. Do a little research on it, it’s actually a pretty fascinating experience.
Yay! Happy morning to me!
π
Thank you all so much.
It’s nice to have friends like you guys.
Thanks for your encouragement and friendship. I really appreciate it.
I know the feeling – moving to Japan was a huge thing for me. You think you have problems moving halfway across the country – try moving somewhere where English isn’t even widely spoken! To make matters worse, my Japanese was horrible! Still is, actually… But in any case, it’s all a part of the adventure. I’m having a blast, and I’m sure you will, too, in your new digs.
And not to nitpick, but isn’t it “Lonely”?
For the not posting much…I’m guessing its because of highschool exam time, and just normal busyness. I’ve been watching this comic for around, oh, I don’t know, 3-4 months, and this is the first time I’ve ever been able to just sit down and actually post a comment.
Life is far too busy >.
yeeesh… ya thought we’d abandon ya?! Pssshhh.
We’re here…. watching… waiting… lurking… O.O
Naw, but seriously though, we wouldn’t abandon ya π
We are are still here ^-^ Like Lacey said summer months are always busy times. We’re definitely still enjoying the comic!
Can sympathize with the moving stress too. In ’01-’02, hubby & I got married, he finished med school, I quit my job, he got a new job, we bought a house, and moved. It took a while to get adjusted, but trust me, you will. ;-D
Hey Scott,
What’s up buddy? Greetings from miserably hot and muggy Washington, DC. Keep up the great work!
Aaron
I’m just ignoring you.
Hey Scott,
You’re in TN now
“StillΓ’β¬Β¦itΓ’β¬β’d be nice to hear from you all. Just say hi.”
It’s Y’all!
aww…. poor scott….
*hugs scott*
Hi!!! I don’t post much on here… but I check dreamland everyday… I’m a bit addicted… 0:o)
Hey, don’t feel like that, we’re still here. (Though I will admit this is my first post…)
You are amazing!
Hey, Scott!
Don’t worry. We’re still here. I think the summer catches most of us away, and no one wants to inundate you with postings when you’re trying to acclimate to a new place.
All the best in the new home! We’re with ya!
*blinkblink* What they all said.
Twice. π
Do what we did when we moved. Make some cookies, take them to the neighbors and introduce yourself. You’d be amazed how many cool people you’ll meet up with when you start it out that way.
/We also share things like big pots of veggie soup and chili at irregular intervals.
Hi! Love your comic!!
Hey, I’m a new reader to this site, I actually followed the link from Punch an’ Pie. I’m usually not a fan of CG comics but the detail and the emotion you convey are amazing. Good wishes for your new home!
Hi Scott! I’m still here. π I’ll try to remind you of that every time I come…
scott, i’ve moved many times and for me it takes an average of 2-3 years before i feel i’ve fully integrated into a new community and have as many friends, etc as i had before. i am pretty friendly and good at assimilating, but this process takes time. nothing pathetic about it, it’s more like a classic syndrome. you know, just like job hunting sends most people into a depression or at least a good funk? anyway, yesterday’s cliffhanger was insane! i was sure paddington was dead and i’m still not clear on that, but i’m slightly reassured now. nice twist!
I’ve been reading your stuff for a while now and love it. I really don’t post much but I check you frequently. Even on weekends sometimes just to say to muself, “doh, it’s only m-f”. And reading on Monday is one of the highlights of that dreaded day.
Basically what I mean to say is: “Hi” π
I think its awesome that you still post the comic with all the time demands moving requires. Thank you-we appreciate you!
Actually, people are just being polite above. We had a secret online meeting where we decided to dis you, just because we don’t like redneck Tennesseeans like you! π
DUH… of course not! We still love you and your work, as always. We just spend more time caring for the barbecuer these days.
Take care mate!
I’m still around. I’ve just been busy/distracted/sleeping. Still coming back every day to follow the adventure though. Can’t say I’ll ever get enough. I think it would make an awesome movie!
Thanks all. I don’t feel so lonely any more.
Thanks for reading and thanks for posting.
It’s good to have friends virtually even when you’re in a new and strange place.
π
Hey Scott. I was just reading through my Wowio archives and noticed something odd in book 10, page 19 of 29, second frame. Paddington’s head looks semi-transparent. Same thing on the first frame of the next page. I checked my hardcopy of Book 1 and it’s the same. It wasn’t actually supposed to look like that was it?
Hello!!!! just saying hi, your comic is great I have been checking it daily, since page 200 or so. Great work!!!
Congratz on your move
I just wish Wowio was international
Hey Scott,
I just moved myself and I share your emotions. I’m very shy and I don’t like to just go up and introduce myself to random people.. Making it hard to get to know anyone. But I’ll be here for you if you’ll be here for me π Sound fair?
No matter where you go in life there is always 1 friend to keep you safe. Whether he be up in heaven watching over you or your next door neighbor. You just have to be willing to accept their love in your life.
Take care sweety and cheer up.. we can’t feel this way for too much longer, right?
Melissa
PS… I hope Paddington’s ok!!! Poor guy π I say we all jump on the Kracken and kick its butt!
An ingnillteet answer – no BS – which makes a pleasant change
