Speaking of computers being impossible, it’s called “booting up” as a reference to the saying about pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps. It’s really called bootstrapping (with a more clear reference), but has degraded since the original coining.
Every few years, when I give up on my current gen of Windows, I do give Linux a try. And it’s getting closer and closer to being usable.
On the other hand, last-gen windows with a healthy dose of common sense makes for a fairly lightweight OS that is blazing fast and plenty secure. Currently dual-booting 98 and XP on less than 3GBs total with 5 and 11 second boot times. Best I’ve seen with Linux is less than 1GB and less than 20 second boot times. Not bad, but not convincing either. Oh, and Windows is SUPPORTED and that is the #1 issue in my book.
When the penguin “loves” on you, it must be like the bull on a cow.
“Search your feelings Nicole, you know it to be true…”
“NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!”
Wherewolf: As for proving it, it would be pretty simple. Give one a message to give to the other in Dreamland, and keep them separate so the only way they could pass it on is in Dreamland. That way, since she provides the message, there’s no way they could have organised something beforehand.
“Nuuuuuuu reality is crumbling apart beneath me!!!!” *Nicole emos it up in a dark corner*
Ouch. It hurts when parodox hits you.
Correct response from Nicole is: “Prove it.”
oh noooozz! matrix is real! runnnzz!
That’s what science is for, isn’t it? To explore and explain the impossible, like metals, and computers, and flying machines…
Not impossible…inconceivable.
computers ARE impossible…especially to explain
I don’t understand mine, and it hates me

It really is quite magical that a computer can boot…
It’s not the computer that hates you, it’s you that hate the computer and run Windows on the poor thing. Try the penguin and you’ll see LOVE!
“That’s IMPOSSIBLE.” – “I know. But it’s TRUE.”
To wit: “There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy, Horatio”.
Nicole: “That’s impossible.”
Daniel: “That’s what they said about going to the moon, once.”
“Search your feelings, you know it to be true.”
NOOOOOO!!! DREAMLAND ISN’T REAL!!! [transforms into a huge monster]
Alex: huh. I thought she was on her period last week…
That’s what they said about the world being round too, but they were proved wrong.
>> I really hope Daniel gets to some how go into Dreamland. And Alex gets to find a way to stay permanently.
That’s right, it’s shaped like a giant space-burrito.
nicloe turns out to be felicity’s friend from before. you just wait. (actually i just guessing but it;s pretty obvious)
maybe… Just maybe… She will believe them if he puts on the underwear again.
She could set up an experiment where Alex and Joey both come in to the room and sleep, then when they wake up, they can both tell her what happened
O wait, shell just say ” obviously you came up with it beforehand and planned out what to tell me”

Back on topic, please!
Not really. It’s just a series of steps. No matter what else, those steps are just as solid as gravity. A, then B, then C.
Still, it’s amazing how complex those steps are.

And Nicole vanishes in a puff of logic.
When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.
