I’m guessing ” it followed me home, can I keep it” won’t work. Also, claiming it’s his inheritance from King Arthur is probably not going to work either.
” It’s for research.” ?
I think the sword that Daniel has is what is referred to as a Claymore.. they were on average 4-5 feet long and two handed.. And yes How to explain to his Mom that he now is the owner of said sharp object… Should be a fun few weeks
Doesn’t the sword have a sheathe? Even if it does have one… walking home with it would be quite troublesome, given how it’s kind of illegal to carry weapons on the street, and it’s not like you can hide a garganto-claymore.
The question arises, what would happen to Niv if she lost control of the magic and the portal shut down with half of her in Dreamland and half in our world?
thats because its tied to the dreamworld the sword dan is holding is tied to the real world and hence the difference is sword, but one question does pop into my mind how does one walk down a street and or put that claymore into a car trunk or back seat
Taller? Whaddaya mean? I’m 6.3″ The director dude is just a bit short. Grutte Pier is said to have been about 2m 10cm and his sword is 2m 15cm. Sooo.. in his case, it was actually taller than him.
In a time were people were about 1m 65cm on average( the 1600’s), he must have been quite the frightening character
For that timeperiod the average height was a little over 4’8″, take a look at any ship from that period, most folks can’t even go through them these days.
The exception being Holland, I swear they bred giants there somewhere! ๐
Daniel is very close to 2nd base there…
I love the perspective in the first panel. This whole comic is pretty awesome.
And the Wonder Woman painting = fantastic.
I’m wondering what’s in his hand. I don’t recall them bringing anything except the flashlight.
Hmm…would Nicole have dove in after them if Dan didn’t hold her back? Great Wonder Woman, too!
Woah, the size of the sword in the 2nd panel ! Higher than Dan, for sure !
How is Dan going to explain the big sword to his mother?
Wow! That sword is the size of Grutte Pier ‘s ( a legendary hero of fryslรขn, my place of birth) http://community.villamedia.nl/portfolio/portret-8-0
The man is the museum director, holding the original antique sword. Yes, there were swords as big as Scott has drawn.
Oohh.. Poor Nicole, Poor Felicity, but the lst frame kindles my hope again.
I feel like Felicity should be snarling or something in that first panel…..

A day may come when this story is over, and we scatter away. But it is not this day. Today we vote!
Wonder Woman with booobs ๐ Nice! She’s real wonder! ๐
its his flashlight, nicole has her own
Thank goodness Niviene let Nicole know this wouldn’t be her last time to see Felicity. ๐
Yay Wonder Woman! I was her three years in a row for Halloween as a kid. I loved her more than I loved She-ra! ๐
Thanks for the last panel, there! Would have been a bummer without it! ๐

Yes. At least Alex’s sword has the decency to go miniature and get its own chain when in this world.

I hope they don’t get into any IRL trouble.
Nice painting, ever do one of the Adam West Batman or the Watchmen movie characters?
I got the impression she would have followed her, diving in after her, if Dan hadn’t held her back, too! Love these pages!

most claymores don’t have a sheathe there no way un sheathe them in battle so they just carry them on there back or have a squire hold them lol
And so goes Nicole and Felicity’s teaser almost-meeting for the year.
Time for Dan to find a squire.
Zo, ik ben dus niet de enige nederlander die thedreamlandchronicles leest! Logisch ook@
bought it on ebay :p
Same way all fantasy nerds get their kit to conventions… garbage bags and a chained set of boxes taped together to give it form…
You could easily pass it off as a short two by four if you kept the hilt-end in the trunk.
Wasn’t the Zweihander sword roughly 6 feet long on average? Nothing like swinging around a bladed paddle taller than you were!
๐ Probably something similar to this:

Alex, Nastajia and Felicity — they look like a heart grouped there together. Awwww!
its the grand prize from the roleplaying tourney they just got back from! yeah thats it!!…
Appears you are correct… I thought he dropped that. Did he pick it up when things stopped being exciting enough for him?
Ah ha! I found it… Yes, yes he did indeed… When I wasn’t looking even! lol
Yup, we Dutchies are like interweb-vermin.. we’re everywhere!.. ๐ secretly, skulking, slithering ourselves into America-centric stuff every where..
We’re there to take-over.. en dan grijpen we de macht! Mwuhahahahah!! ๐ ๐
